Just filled up the refund form, will get my refund within a week (transfer to my bank account).

They say I can get my refund immediately because it is not the replaced unit (Yes, I have not return my Note 7 for the new one with the green battery icon), but to those replaced unit will get to refund, but not now, will need to wait for SME announcement.

Don't even need to go the Samsung Service Center, I just filled up the form at where I take my Note 7 from. Too lazy to read if anyone provided this information, sorry if they did.

I would say that note 7 is simply a magnificient beast to be molested every single time. The design is just, gorgeous. Sad la wey.

Well, I have a different opinion.

First things first, I'm not a fan of Samsung, but I have owned their phones before. I had a Note 3, a S6 and lately I had a Galaxy Tab S2 and a Note 5. To see their progression from the days of the Note 3 to the Note 5 and eventually the Note 7, I have to say they improved by leaps and bounds. And if you look at their Q3 financial results which they announced recently, believe me, they won't be going bust anytime soon. They will take a hit, no doubt, but they will definitely bounce back and survive this ordeal. As far as their reputation is concerned, much will depend on the remedy they offer the current buyers of the Note 7, and truth be told, it's a bit worrying in Malaysia as the power of the consumer is not as strong as that in the US. I'm not one of the early adopters of  to the Note 7 (coz I was foolishly waiting for Coral Blue, ha ha) but if I was, I wouldn't be impressed with how SME handled the first round of recalls. Lets see what they do this time. To write off Samsung because of one failed product, albeit a flagship product, would be too simplistic in my view. In terms of sales and financial performances, I'd be more worried for Sony and HTC.

Because I email my note 7 preorder Samsung store manager, see whether can do refund in another country or not.

Now in sg, cannot go back immediately in this period. So the manager ask me to call cs for arrangement to do in sg.

But when I ask her about what the manager told me, she said she have no idea, and I ask her please ask a higher position to answer the questions for me. She said she cannot escalate this inquiry to higher management..

And I ask sg Samsung cs at the end, she ask me to take my phone go to Samsung sg and take a a loan phone first. Then wait for news to refund or exchange. Even though I told the sg cs that my phone come from Malaysia instead of sg, she said, Nvm, still can do the exchange, for refund, they haven't received the communication yet even I give her the link from Samsung sg stated can choose for refund.

Not just that, there seems to be some memory performance issues with 32GB variant.

The 32GB variant is 3 times slower than the 128GB variant in terms of read and write speed, also inferior to iPhone 6s as well. This will affect installation speed, loading apps speed and more.

I would suggest getting atleast 128GB variant if you really do mind those speed.
