I was wondering whether the new ATI Radeon 5870 Graphic Card can fit into the Raven02 or not... Cause i saw the Palit graphic card above it seems like just fit enough for it and the new graphic card is slightly longer than x295 series..
*
HD 5870, about 11" long.

Raven RV02 specs.:

The height is 50.3 cm ~ 20", so I think HD 5870 can fit into RV02 if you remove the bottom fan. I highly not recommend RV02 case, RV01 is better and more cheaper.

I own rv01 and Rv02 and rv02 beat the crap out of rv01 interms of airflow and much lower temp in all of the pc component in it.Btw rv02 is cheaper than rv01.
*
3 fans at the bottom, of course more cooler, with high air pressure, the air is focused at the mainboard [all hardware included], but still, overall RV01 is better than RV02, atx mid-tower can't defeat atx full tower, as the owner rv01 and rv02 owner, you should know better right? No need to compare and explain more. He..he.. biggrin.gif

But to be honest, I like the rv02 case as my mid-tower chassis. Dust filters, rv01 and rv02, the dust will difficult to enter the case. Silverstone raven series is the best for me, right now. thumbup.gif

sad to hear rv02 beats the crap out of rv01 but I AM A PROUD OWNER OF RV01 =D lolz
*
Yeah, me too. Atx-mid tower usually better than full tower for the air flow, not too spacey inside, so the air can focus more... biggrin.gif

rv02 got 8pci slot (this is very important for SLI or CFX user with sound card) ,SSD ready, and easier to maintain since those dust filter are easier to remove to clean. I still can't find any pro  from rv01 which can beat rv02 accept for the look.
*
Loo, xperasan, 8 pci slot?

Hmm...about the ssd, sdd is smaller right? So i can put the ssd into the hdd cage, or at the bottom hdd cages....he...he...creative...or wait for silverstone or any manufacturer to release 2.5" cage or ssd's cage...

GC will become longer or bigger, especially for sli or crossfire lover, it will be more comfortable if the use the rv01, rather than rv02...

yeah still waiting for 180mm fan to arrive sad.gif Crossfinger

Just change the fans. As long your system is still stable, is ok. Let's see the result.

Even your gc temperature is more than 80 degree, if your system is stable, there is nothing to worry about.

About your cpu temperature, it is normal for overclocker. 4 GHz, better use liquid cooling system. You're extreme overclocker for me...ha...ha... tongue.gif

Raven RV01, the main problem is, motherboard's orientation, not good for some gc like msi lightning series, remember the air flow is one direction from bottom to top...another problem, we cannot put many fans like other cases, "normal case"..

Oh, about heat, no heat issues with me, but if u want to install a liquid cooler like Corsair H50, better don't choose raven rv01...not very suitable as Corsair recommend 120mm fan install as an intake configuration...

This case is superb in cooling actually, I love the basic thermodynamic concept, remember gc become longer, more longer the gc, is better as the gc will so close with the 180 mm intake man at the bottom lol XD

Read user opinion at newegg.com, better....

No, don't worry, it's better and more easy to apply than the wax, trust me. That liquid will flow like a water (its color too) smile.gif

I use this:

Very cheap RM 2.70 je, heheh biggrin.gif

I applied too much at 3 points (left, right, center) for the front bay door, the results, too extreme, better than a new rv01.

Plus my old (I though already broken) 120 mm fans runs much more smoother (repaired) after i use this liquid. biggrin.gif

Which Silverstone HTPC case can fit the follwing hardware ?

-Core i7 980X with the original Tower cooler from intel
-Asus Rampage II Extreme ( larger than ATX form factor)
-Ati Radeon 5970 with  reference cooler
-Xigmatek NRC-HP 1201 PSU
*
-Tower cooler -> at least mid-tower to be safe

-Asus rampage II extreme -> ATX Form Factor, 12 inch x 10.6 inch ( 30.5 cm x 26.9 cm ), One inch greater than standard ATX form factor - HTPC failed

-HD 5970 can be fit in this cases -> HTPC - CW02 | Mid tower - RV02 & FT02 ~must be small as possible heh?~

I recommend FT02 or RV02 smile.gif

Maybe u should choose another mobo with normal atx form factor if u really want htpc chassis (silverstone CW02), but i am not so sure about the psu...
