Bolded part is BS. It has been discussed only couple times and people were able to get back refund in form of money, Reputable giant like Amazon also does refund in form of credit occasionally
Unless the request to refund back original payment method is consistently rejected and funds are LOCKED inside the account, I don't see problem in it.

Dude people exploited the hell outa gemfive. In your example above I did no shit to your shop. I believe they don't penalise people with no reason. Heck even me myself got multiple orders voided, penalised.
With the above example, your shop would have faced closure long long time ago la coz its plain gangsterism

Okay what about this:

You, the shop owner had one promotion: buy anything get RM50 cash rebate back, valid one time for each customer throughout the entire event

So I bought something RM1, claimed RM50 cash rebate, you got me as a new customer. Happy for both.

The next day I walked in again but dressed differently. You never recognise the old me, never. Eventually I am able to steal shitload of cash from you.

Then what. You as the biz owner, would want to patch the loophole right?

ADDED: You missed out one thing. I walked in your shop and i did steal so the accusation is valid, then you beated me up. Just and reasonable enough?

The only reason "genuine consumers" are still lurking here after having lodged complaints to whatever badan/kementerian is to hope that G5 would eventually alter the "abusive" terms in their favor so extortion can be continued, instead of getting penalised then right after one would swear to stay away from it but deep down order is still placed occasionally in view of enjoying their discount icon_idea.gif

When they first started selling on G5 their phones came readily with global ROM. Recently I've bought one again but this time I had to flash it myself. So be prepared to do it yourself too

based on my past experience, they'd ship out the orders in.. max 2 days

I got my RMN3 pro from them but it came DOA (bricked or wat I dunno, not me brick brows.gif). So I walked in their shop straigjt without bringing receipt (didn't come with one), and they replaced me another new unit on the spot no question asked.

7M is also very friendly.

Once they have initiated (completed) your refund on their side no matter how hard you push G5 if the bank decides to refund you in 20 days, 20 days it is. To confirm, you may ask them to email you proof of refund which comes with reference number

Um technically yes, you can call them up to confirm and ask them to email you proof of refund - a statement for themselves which has reference no, refund completed date etc.

Good ol days... DirectD was good as they used to provide superb before & after sales service with competitive pricing and it gained fame because of this, till they opened the flagship store then everything has changed. Now they are more of a profit centric organisation. Expect to wait for every part of the purchase process from them (from inquiring to making your purchaseand RMA..)

Possible reasons:

They wanna refrain from letting people know that they are selling the same phone at a fraction on other platforms probably due to the pressure of investors/shareholders

Also to avoid people coming straight up claiming for warranty in the store. Hence the setup of a different name may exclude them from possible liability from warranty service

You don't use one card for more than 2 times under the same address isit. If you provide such service (I believe you have more than 10 customers cumulatively) do you also have 10+ cards rclxms.gif

G5 does retain card info (eg card number)
