when dji released mavic pro last year/early this year, dji also didnt ship to malaysia. Those early adopters either get it from china, buy from US or ordered mavic to be shipped to a friend in singapore..

Hi All!

New Mavic Pro user here still trying to figure out what to fly and where to fly and local know-hows.

Would love to interact more with local pilots. Anyone could invite me to the whatsapp group?

I ordered my Mavic Pro direct from Dji.com in late January this year, and the drone (FMC package) was delivered just a few days before CNY.

A couple months ago, my MP was written off in a crash and I then tried to order a replacement drone from dji.com, however I was informed by their online customer service that deliveries to Malaysia have been halted. The reasons were not disclosed.
I was advised to purchase from the local authorised dealers (i.e the March store at SetiaWalk, Puchong or the Dji store in Paradigm Mall, Kelana Jaya)

I didnt bother repairing it. Thats why it was written off and I tried to order a drone “kosong” (sans the RC and batteries) from Dji.com

Managed to buy the drone from March store for RM3.6k

I received my Mavic Pro Platinum few days ago and my 3rd flight encounter flyaway
while hovering at 60ft the mavic drifted away following the wind while in P-GPS mode and Controller still have signal, I quickly flipped to sports mode and manage to bring it back

Now contacting DJI and they asking to send the unit for repair, I guess I would prefer to return for refund and re-order another brand new rather than sending a new unit for repair and get a refurbished unit

Video when it was drifted, I switched to sports mode at 00:08
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFKmiWJBR5E

Wind was at 14Mph
Weather -2 degrees

Did you returned it? Anyway, my guess is it's a software issues, rather than hardware issues. If you want to know the specific cause of the problem, you can upload the log file to https://airdata.com/ or other similar websites, and review the log or ask the expert in mavic
forum to analyze it.

It could be caused by :
-faulty stick calibration
-gps home location wasnt properly set prior to flight
-wind to strong
-interference
-etc

I did analyze using the DAT file
It looks like when it drifted I did full stick forward and the MPP drifted side ways with no response to the control at all while having connection and LIVE Feed with the remote

It only responded the moment I entered Sports mode, And yes wind is a factor as well but stick forward should move forward while drifting sideways

I had few flights to see if it reproduce the fly away but no luck so far

DJI release new firmware 1.04.0020 on the 8/11 which I was on during the fly away happens on 10/11

They released another firmware yesterday 1.04.0021 (Current Official firmware is 1.04.0000. I'm a Beta Tester so I have the more latest one)
I'm guessing it could be firmware Issue as what you said

I was thinking the same that's why took the risk to bring it up during windy day, I seen video someone bring it up at 4,000 meters and imagine how windy it can be

The difference between pro and platinum is the ESC and 8331 prop
You still can buy 8331 prop to use on the Pro which slightly reduce the buzzing bee noise
However if you don't have the Mavic Pro then better buy the platinnum with $100 difference

When i try to view the pana shot from my smartphones, this "pano stitching failed, individual images are stored" popup. i suspect that my SD card cannot support it.

mind to share what microSD card are u guys using?
