Guys, I have a question.
I'm new to this category so need few pointers to get me into the right direction.
1. From the looks of it the combo is value for money. So, situation is if there was a fault with the drone where do I send it in? I'm planning to get it from Gemfive.
2. Is it safe to fly around the neighborhood without invading people's privacy? I don't want to be a bulls target when someone dengki and starts fussing.
3. Must it be flown in an open space? Will flying in a high density area with wifi signals jam the frequency up.
4. Since the drone is less than a KG, I read that we don't need to register a license for the machine. Is it true or most of you have registered your P3's P4's etc..
Appreciate all you sifu's to educate me a little here.
Hope this helps.. please correct me if I'm wrong ya...
1. As mentioned few posts earlier, warranty will go back to DJI. Fortunately there's DJI store here. So can send there. They might fly it back to China. Otherwise, locally appointed resellers may exchange or repair if you buy from them.
Personally I had terrible experience with Hobbysportz. Up until now haven't received Bebop frame I ordered from them.
2. So far I've not heard any drone cases apart from one stupid guy flown near airport last year. That causes our DCA to look into this drone area. For now there's restrictions to fly in few places. Rule of thumb, fly within line-of-sight (LOS) and not above crowds.
3. Yes open space to avoid falling on people. Our fields and open parks are usually sufficient.
MAVIC is radio controlled (rf signal) similar to other RC quadcopter. not sure what band though.. not much disturbance from house wifi. but note on power lines, buildings (metal) that causes magnetic interference.. this may give some minor gps effect.
you can fly on wifi but distance will be limited to only 50m if not mistaken. there's a switch on MAVIC, can either fly on wifi or RC.
4. not sure. flying small quads only so far..
