About KDU Penang University College:


Founded in 1991, KDU Penang located is located in the heart of the city of George Town, an international education and tourism hub completed with modern city facilities as well as a myriad of cultural activities. Its purpose-built intelligent campus is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to ensure the best learning environment for local and international students.

KDU Penang University College (KDU Penang) became the only college in the northern region of Malaysia to receive 6-star ratings by the Ministry of Education’s 2014/2015 MyQuest rating system, an instrument that evaluates the performance of private colleges in Malaysia in terms of students, programmes, graduates, resources and governance.
KDU Penang also received 6-star cluster-based ratings in seven clusters – General Programmes; Arts and Humanities; Social Sciences, Business and Law; Science, Mathematics and Computing; Engineering, Manufacturing and Construction; Health and Welfare; and Services. Previously, the college received 5-star awards for two consecutive years (2011/2012 and 2012/2013).

To complement the MyQuest success, KDU Penang attained university college status soon after and has been known as KDU Penang University College since early 2016.

Today, KDU Penang is the provider of internationally-recognized and industry-driven academic programmes ranging from certificate, diploma to degree level, most recently being the University of Lincoln (UK) where specially tailored new programmes will ensure students will receive not only one degree but TWO bachelor degree awards.

Students also enjoy an option to study abroad, which is available in their last year of studies at the University of Lincoln campus in the UK. “KDU Penang University College in collaboration with the University of Lincoln (UK) is designed to meet industry expectations with an emphasis on knowledge application to ensure graduates hit the ground running,” added Dr. Imrie.
