yes ..u can change it

refer this : http://www.wellesley.edu/Computing/Foreign...setup.html#osX3

1. From the Apple menu choose System Preferences.
2. Double-click on International.
3. Select the Input Menu tab.
4. Check the language that you would like to set up.

Notes:

Some languages offer more than one keyboard. The QWERTY option given for some languages is a phonetic keyboard and may be easier to use. We suggest selecting both keyboards and trying them out.

If you would like to have a map of the keyboard (so you know which keys produce which characters) check the box for Keyboard Viewer as well as the language you would like to set up.

If you would like a palette of all of the characters available at a given time, check the box for Character Palette, or for Japanese, the Japanese Kana Palette.

5.Click on the Options button.
6.Uncheck both checkboxes.
7.Click OK.
8.Close the International Window.
9. Quit out of the System Preferences.

A flag menu will now appear next to the speaker icon at the top of your desktop. Click on this menu to select a different keyboard. When you want to change back to English, just select the American flag.

If you would like to see the keyboard map, choose Keyboard Viewer from this menu.

If the language you would like to use is not selectable from this menu, it means the application you are using does not support typing in this language.

vt928,
You can put that consideration aside - it's not difficult to convert from Windows to OSX smile.gif Er.. I'm assuming ur gonna be using the MB for typical day to day tasks like word processing, internet, email, etc. nod.gif

Yes, mostly that, I am studying marketing so need to work out with lots of reports and presentation. I do minor gaming too.
I have some more questions:
1. Is buying MacBook from different shops make a difference?
2. Any MacBook users have any heat problems with it?
cause I am always using my pc for quite long hours.
3. Can itune or quickplay play wma or wmv files?
4. Should I wait for Mac OS Leopard to release b4 I get 1 MacBook?

Thx again for answering.

hey, dont mention the words "studying" and "marketing"......a certain lady from the applebyte that just got her MBP will go nuts whistling.gif .......heheheheh..........

anyway ur answers
1) it makes no difference warranty wise and product wise......but if u like better services, check the other thread, mac shopping comments...

2) I am using a 2.0ghz core duo macbook.....it runs very hot...about 60-70 degrees....but so far, i have not encountered any problem relating to heat....

3) not too sure about wma, but for wmv, u'll need to get perian, or flip for mac...it'll play in quicktime

4) eermm...this question has been answered for a lot of times.....if u are willing to wait, why not.....just see if u'll fully utilize the new features in leopard....if u are not gonna use it, then why wait........come to the dark side!!!!!

vt928,
I read somewhere Machines @ Mid Valley got CNY promotion. He got his MBP and they gave him free keyboard protector, sleeves, Apple Wired Mouse - he topped up another RM99 for the Apple Wireless Mighty Mouse. Haf no idea when the promo ends but i *think* it's still valid as I type here *grins* wink.gif

Most of ur questions been answered and yeah, if u can wait for Leopard then wait but if u can't then go ahead and get ur MB now - hope that Leopard be released soon after u'd purchased ur MB so u can qualify for a free upgrade.... nod.gif

kevler,
I *think* I also know who lokgotz is referring to! icon_idea.gif
