Annual fee waiver need spend RM50k per annum?
My card was approved July 2016.

Just now I check the annual fee waiver with Maybank Customer Service, they told me need spend RM50k since my card was approved before December 2016.

Does it means I should cancel the card first and apply again?
I use this card for petrol and grocery only. All the rest spending was on 2 card premier.
It's impossible to hit RM50k per annum but still got chance to over RM30k.

My card anniversary will be on July. Can meet the rm30k but not rm50k as my card was approved before Dec 2016. Will need to cancel it on 1st July then.
Currently still having PBB VS and MBB 2 Amex. But still MBB VS is my favourite for petrol and groceries as i can use Amex for any ad hoc retail spend,  and PBB VS for my bills and online shopping.
Any other cash rebate card for petrol to recommend?

My card was approved by July 2016. Always thought is spend RM30k to entitle annual fee waiver.
Until now saw your post and call card centre to confirm, really need spend RM50k as a "old card holder"

Really sad.... my spending is around RM40k since I spend all the rest expenses with 2 card premier..
Not sure If i can hit RM50k or not. Customer service centre cannot confirm my total annual spending also...

Should I cancel the card before annual fee appeared on my card?
Or I can just cancel after annual fee charged? Since the annual fee should be the fee for next year??
Do I still need to pay the card?

Smart move, I just find out that my AF is due in May after I saw AF+GST shown in M2U.
I will cancel my VS after redeem my TreatPoints, just that CS told me that AF+GST waiver is "subject to management approval".
This answer makes me nervous  blink.gif

We can apply Maybank Islamic MasterCard Ikhwan to continue enjoy the 5% CB on petrol.

Ends up do you still pay for the annual fee?

For those who upgraded to this card from Platinum,do you still keep your AMEX card? Or have to be cancelled?
*
I did kept. Taking 2 card premier, 2 card platinum, Visa signature at the moment.
Since they are providing different purpose use.

Why wanna upgrade? You can add new card? I added VS while retaining my M2Cards Plat.
I'm going to cancel my VS soon in few more weeks as I am going to reach the 1st year anniversary without achieving the minimum spending. blush.gif

If they insist unfair offer to existing user, I will complaint for it and straight banned MBB card. Even though my cancel my 2 card premier which entitle free Annual Fee already.

Yes, latest revision is 30k. Mine was 50k.
You can apply via M2U, I applied mine there as well.

My Visa signature approved since July 2016.
I though 30k will entitle annual fee waiver... Currently Visa Signature clock at RM40k++ only.
So far received statement last week. No annual fee charges applied yet.

I think it's quite unfair to existing customer.
If the AF applied to me then will raise this unfair issue to MBB and related department.

Boss, how do u get premier free AF?
*
Not sure if really got AF waived.

But if they did charged AF for existing customer who spend above RM30k, I encourage you go lodge complaint.
It was unfair. Like selling same item with different price to consumer.

I am ready to complaint if they charged me.

I think Maybank Premier card need RM50k spends per annum right
Rm30k not enough le..

I though we are talking VS.
VS is RM30k, 2 premier was RM80k.
But VS existing customer is RM50k. So that's why I say is unfair.

aiks i thought it will follow the new requirement? no ah? im old batch of VS, not sure if it's 30k or 50k :/ even after anniversary date, it's still gonna 50k or follow new req?

Customer service told me card holder before dec 2017 is follow 50k to waive annual fee.
But so fair I didn't spend over RM50k yet. around RM40k. Didn't received annual fee in statement yet.

My card was applied July 2016. Waiting for next statement see if annual fee applied.

Thanks for the info.
Means my annual fee didn't waived yet.
Btw, you spend above RM50k to entitle the waiver?
