Even 5x is for overseas spending.

After getting my September cash back, I will say goodbye to this card. Hopefully temporarily and I will reapply again next year.

i do alot online purchases, the gateway is overseas, so i get 5x points... 40k points = RM100 cash rebate ma amex 5x points, but the points cant directly redeem rebate

Yeah, it makes sense too. I have too many cards but too little of spending. I will surely miss the convenience of PayWave on this card.

Why not? Anyone can apply. I have M2Cards, Ikhwan MasterCard and VS for MBB.

can I wait for the annual fee charged in my card then only request for cancel without paying the AF?

I was thinking about this too last night. Not going to use anymore for this month I think as I have done all my reloads last month.
Still nothing in my unbilled transactions.

Really? I called maybank 2 weeks ago and was told for my card still require 50k for waiver.

Can you advise which online shop would be considered oversea purchase? From my understanding, shopee is based in singapore, so that falls under oversea transactions? and the same goes for Agoda?

anything that's the payment gateway is outside of msia... for online purchases, you have to be sure of the company's billing method etc... say paypal, ebay, amazon, all those big ones which doesn't originate from msia is normally considered overseas as their gateway is based in their originating country

I have cancelled my MBB VS back in June when they charge the AF and unable to be waived. Planning to reapply for the card as its kinda troublesome at the moment for my spending on petrol (amex on weekend). Anyone know how long is the cooling off period before I can reapply?

Yes. Providing you dont continue to use the card after the AF is charged. Inform MBB CS i want to cancel the card and they transfer the balance and reward points to my other card and reverse the AF.

How did your AF being charged? In unbilled transaction first or straight in statement?
