If total CB is RM0.01 ~ RM0.99, then no CB. Not per transaction.
CB can be negative amount due to refund or credit transactions, eg total transactions is -RM1000, CB will be -RM100.

If both transactions are same date- a July date.
July CB +RM20 (not reaching max RM50)
August CB -RM20

If the refund is a new transaction dated August
July CB +RM20
August CB -RM100

The merchant may reverse the transaction, so same transaction date.

Or just create another transaction for refund, a new transaction date.

Maybank use the transaction date to calculate CB.

A lot of 1-day sale on Merdeka Day.
The places not using Maybank card machine.
Guardian (HLB), Giant (OCBC, HLB), Mr DIY (PB)
Local supermarkets (Kuching - Everrise, H&L, Everwin, Upwell, Dvalley, Unaco).

Maybank card machine / channel - most likely T+0 (same day posting)
Eg Bigpay, Boost, Petronas, Shell, Aeon, Watson's before cut-off time (eg 11:30pm for Bigpay)

If the merchant using other bank's provided machine, the earliest posting will be T+1 (1/9). Even you swipe in the morning 31/8, it won't be posted on 31/8.

1 transaction at 20:xx in July got T+1.
1 transaction at 21:xx this month got T+1.
1 transaction at 16:xx in March also got T+1.
So the cut-off is not 11:30pm, but much earlier probably at 4pm!

Transaction on 31/8 but to be posted in Sept.
CB can be 0% or 2% or 10%. Grey area.

Early part already fulfilled - max RM 100 CB for Aug.
But some people are hoping for something beyond the quota.
