Yes, that's normal for both AP/SP, they generate a special/new card number to mask your original number, hence increasing security

Please check the FAQ in the google sheets for explaination

Open wallet
Click your card
Click the right upper corner 3 dots
See the device number
It match the number in the slip
AP is like a virtual card that link to your physical card and protect you from scam

Thank you so much to all sifu here for sharing the information🙏🏻

I notice this also. Need to turn off Double-Click side button for Apple Pay to solve that problem.

I thought I'm the only one facing this, I even restarted the phone  doh.gif
*
yeap, it is understandable to have the slight delay cuz of double click side button to activate apple pay.

i think max 1 sec delay when single click hmm.gif

Today paid using my Apple Watch at Sushi King, smooth. Some says when you already unlocked your phone moving it near the credit card terminal will auto open Apple Pay wallet app, is the Apple Watch the same?

Just now I double press the side button to open the wallet app on my watch
*
it works for me when i did the test on the launch day at aeon, like what i mentioned before, tech is not perfect that's why that double-click side button option is there, when wallet app is not auto pop-up then you can manually open wallet app by double-click...

for AW you will need to double click side button to open wallet app. no auto pop-up like iPhone.

I see, good thing Apple Watch no need to unlock to use Apple Pay once on your wrist since already put the passcode. Just need the double click side button
*
agree smile.gif that's why i use AW more than IP when using AP...much easier biggrin.gif

What u mean no need unlock? Once you put passcode it already unlock ma. For security reasons unlocking is always needed, u cannot use apply pay on watch unless watch is unlocked.

For iphone if u no unlock and u double click side button it will ask for double click side button + face/touchid/passcode before can use.

For watch if u no passcode to unlock first, and u double tap side button it will keep asking for passcode. So always need authentication.
*
on iPhone you will still need authentication for every transaction when using AP even iPhone is unlocked.

on AW, you will need to put passcode once(make sure AW is on your wrist) then you can use Apple Pay without doing authentication anymore.

I did a test on this express / transit mode just now at 7-11 - I tagged a different card to the Express Travel (using Wise) while my regular Apple Pay (is using Mastercard).

When I tapped my iPhone to the reader (without pressing the power button twice), the iPhone detected the terminal and the Wallet interface came up but it proceeded to request me to authenticate (via FaceID) to enable payment on my regular Apple Pay (Mastercard) and not the Wise card. So the express/transit mode did not work here.
*
you can leave the option to "none" already

Guys, ytd i had made payment by using AW but today when I check the transaction history on AW app, it disappeared…

May i check and confirm for those who make payment with your AW on few days ago, is the transaction history still there? Or it only last 24 hours?

one downside for parking, during exit need to scan first to validate. Second scan for payment.

Need unlock twice haha
*
think another way round, if without these validation, anyone could easily access your phone and use your AP...you won't want that to happen also.

Yes. I just used yesterday at NSK parking near my home. Had to tap twice during exit. Amount to pay will show up at first tap, second tap to pay.
*
i believe some card readers will require to tap twice even you're using physical card.

for example parking B at desa park...you will need to tap twice when using CC/DC, 1st tap show amount,2nd tap to pay.

Went my local senheng and wanna pay with Apple Pay (they have banner which indicate Apple Pay is available now and small card banner at counter)

When i told them "bayar dengan apple pay" while pointing toward the card banner. The staff like "black man question mark" then ask her colleague.

Then colleague also dunno then cincai tell me "belum ada sini"
Fliptable =.=

Nvm, lazy argue, use samsung pay then.
*
why dai dai have to mention apple pay leh...just tell them wave then they will understand.

to me i always tell them that i want to use "wave" instead of apple pay, cuz i dont expect everyone would know what it's called apple pay.

First time I failed using Apple Pay when I tried to pay at McD drive-through today. It's the kind of terminal that is located outside. No issue paying at the kiosk in the same McD restaurant.
*
me too, but the cashier use another terminal which is a wireless once he saw the outside one not working.

weird thou, it's either merchant lie or what.

Like previously I used SPay, got one cafe which I frequent visit and I know they didn't accept Amex.
But when I used SP which paired with Amex, I just told them to pay by card and it went thru smoothly thou.

Which I presume AP will be the same as SP
Anyway, the transaction still some did show while some didn't.
Like yesterday I used for like 5 payments on AP. But only 3 shown up....now sure if is related to the terminal
*
same here...i used 2 payments yesterday, one from bila-bila and one from MC, transaction history only show-up for bila2 while MCD one is missing.
