Just to share that I've been using the apple pay all over Malaysia, from big merchants to small ones. No problem whatsoever as long as the terminal supports the wave function.

As long as the terminal supports PayWave, AP will work (using my SG card in Malaysia)

And It seems really soon already, our iOS dev has finished building AP support for my company’s app.

Not really only financial related app need support Apple Pay.
Like Lazada, Zalora, Shopee, AirAsia, McD, KFC also can support ApplePay. Mean click > Ding > paid

You guys know Apple Pay is not only about payment cards like Debit/Credit card. Even your membership card is related to Apple Pay, institutions that use Apple Pay include Boost Juice, Singapore Airlines, Casetify and etc. Membership cards are usually a QR code/barcode but also comes in NFC form as well. The only few I know exist is Walgreens in the US.

Image 1:Sadly the Boost Juice Bars Malaysia loyalty cards cannot be added to Apple Wallet since then, until now, still the same lol... cry.gif .

NFC loyalty cards are actually very useful (goodbye physical cards~), just tap and you're good to go, then tap again to pay with your AP added cards. e.g: Woolworths AU. Let's hope that AEON will implement it soon... since their member cards are prepaid Visa cards.

Image 2: Additional:
Although Boost Juice Malaysia app supports Apple Pay, the payment would not go through. Ended up with "Payment Failed".

What do you mean you can’t add your Boost Juice MY membership card. I remember I had the physical Boost Juice card before converting it into the Apple Wallet using the Boost Juice app. I can add the card into Apple Wallet no problem.

As for Apple Pay for paying your Boost Juice drink. That doesn’t work as I assume they just used Boost Juice app from Australia and modified it for Malaysia.

Just curious, where did you get your Citibank Debit Card for Apple Pay?
