i'll be investing on the MG Strike Noir smile.gif.......i got 2 MG's now but none of them are painted, only lining is done.....how much would the painting resource for a cerain model cost, lets sat MG Freedom.
*
ok..for airbrushing..it will be like this..and i use to color my mg freedom

one mr surfacer1200 bottle(one bottle for me can last for at least 3 gundam) - rm15
leveling thinner( can last for many mixture with paints) - rm14
mr color bottle(one bottle can last 2 mg model only for me..this case..freedom inner frame took the whole gold bottle) - rm6 and that will be gold, blue, red, grey, and black
topcoat(last for 3 or 4 mg gundams - rm30

thats it..

which looks better spraying method or hand painting.....
since i've done the linings n applied the decals , it'll be very troublesome to spray paint it now rite  sad.gif
*
both method also depends on your liking..like me i prefer AB than handbrushing..unless for those small mg figure..whihch is no choice have to use hand to paint them..

if you do the lining already..you still can spray ur gundam..but decal..you spray of couse you also cover the decal..

very nice!!  biggrin.gif but how come the gold part dun have lining? blink.gif
*
cause i never do any lining on the inner frame..except for its fingers only..

QUOTE(300078 @ Feb 2 2007, 07:42 AM)
U just used to Mr.Color Gold to paint all the inner or did u mixed it with others?

Oh 1 question for all of u gunplayers out there, is there a really good way to prevent the paints to fall of from scratches!!! Even applying primer does not really helps (the paints sometimes even fell of with the primer)?
*
yes..all just mr.hobby gold color(9)..try to mix with clear yellow..but doesnt turn out to be that nice also..end up just spray with one color..

about the paint? do you mean its chip off from the model or the parts that rub to each other always scratch the paint out? i found that if you use surfacer 500..the paint stick better than using a 1200 one..

Hrmm just started in Gunpla..

Anyone know where I can get markers that are thinner? The set I bought has a black marker that is too thick.
*
wah zio..you also?
first xeno..now you also join the club..good good

get the fine marker if you wanna use it for lining..you cannot use those set one..that one is very very think..and most of the time..people use it to color and not for lining..

water base marker also good for lining..as you can wipe it off with cottonbuts..but not much shop carry water base marker..even TM also dont have..

Anyone belives Bandai is stealing money from us raise your hands.... Burning a hole in my wallet is an understatement, more like punching a hole using pneumatic sledgehammer.  Thas said what will we do without out kits.

With the wide range of prices being thrown about for kits... what would be a reasonable cost for:
1. PG Strike Rouge + Sky Grasper (how much in yen?)
2. PG GAT-X105 Strike Gundam (14,000yen)
3. PG MSZ-006 Z Gundam (20,000yen)
4. PG Wing Gundam Zero Custom (how much in Yen)

Dunno where to start bargaining oso.  I see that the practice is to convert from prices in Japan.  Does anyone know the Japanese prices for the Strike rouge and Wing Zero.  Also has anyone seen these kits recently, which shop and at what prices.
*
cannot really said steal your money la..
you got a choice not to buy it also rite those repeat gundams..
they just try to do business

Ok then what do you call, creating the need and the want for their product, then coming up with various grades so that u want to continue to get better versions, more articulation, more details.... then the icing on the cake.... overpricing for the few pieces of plastic. sad.gif  The alternative is to go to a Gundam Rehabilitation program to get rid of the addiction.  Anyone know where to sign up.

In the mean time, any help with the PGs?... anyone, I need my fix.
*
yea..so what you wanna upset for?
its your money and you can always choose not to buy those upgrade or anything icing as you mention up there mah..
if you are addicted to them..then no choice have to keep on buying them lo..no matter how many version bandai release it..
gundam belong to bandai..so they can release whatever version gundam they want..japanese also never complaint about how many version of the same gundam bandai release..

[attachmentid=191187][attachmentid=191188][attachmentid=191189]
From this view u get to see how the other parts of my kit is color, same technique just the gold dust is not so heavy on the body itself!!!

i would say they are good enough for touching up or painting small parts...wouldn't recommend for large surfaces though, looks ugly....

anyway, maybe it also depends on the skill of the user ( which in my case...very low cry.gif )
*
yes..those big head marker set are good for coloring and especially those small small parts..larger part will show all those marker marks..

it also good for those parts that you accidently shave them too much or too deep
