agreed...one example is my experimentation with my kampfer..

so, cost almost rm 150++..... sweat.gif

but for crossbone n f91 just need flat coating and lining pen...so cost is cheaper
*
think airbrush+compressor is the best choice for long run.

to avoid the paint being scratch of especially joint area, u can try this, sand of abit at the contact area between the joints parts and the body parts.

made some "space" between the joints and the body parts to avoid contact with each other, hence the paint won't scratch of so easily.

especially the knee joint and elbow joint.

hope u guys get wut i mean.

Gundam sifu please help me~~ Sorry many questions to ask

1)I want to ask. What is d difference between Mr Superclear and Top Coat.
Both also have in gloss, semigloss and matt.

2) Mr surfacer available in 500,1000, 1200, Mr Base white and Mr White Surfacer. What is each of this surfacer different?

3) Mr Metal Primer. what it does? Is it making metallic - chrome colour? is it mix with other colours so that the gloss/flat paint will become metallic look?

4) What is d different between Mr thinner and Mr levelling thinner?

5) If possible, please guide me to any website that describe each function of the products. tongue.gif Im trying to understand all these tools b4 buying.
*
1) superclear is lacquer base, top coat is water base. Not much difference in term of usage and the result, in my opinion.

2) Mr base white is bottle type, Mr white surfacer is spray-can type. Both will give u white prime color, good for light tone paint. Number higher mean the paint is more fine. Got pro and con on this.

3) Mr metal primer, is a primer/base coat for metalic type paint. So far i never use this b4, so can't comment much.

4) Mr leveling thinner got Retarder Mild formula, which make the paint dry slower abit. Good for metalic paint and glossy effect. But expensive.

I might be wrong, correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks StormV hehe. Now i have a rough idea.. but stil not fully understand.

- for Mr white surfacer/ mr base white= almost the same..giving white base colour. Then mr surfacer 1000,1200 will be grey colour? Is that mean is best to use 1200 since is the finest?
*
the correct name is Mr Base White, which give u white prime color. While Mr Surfacer is grey. There is no such thing as Mr White Surfacer.

It seems 1200 is the most fine, but it cannot cover up small scratches and tiny hole(real tiny). But 500 can cover it up, coz it is more rough. That y i said got pro and con.

Actually 1000 and 1200 not much difference, sometimes skill is more important.

Anyone here actually Modify their gundam kit like those japanese freaks? Like extend wings.. extend legs.. Cut through arms and legs to make detail.. then add extra details...Replace parts with New Custommade part..
*
here is one of my major mod...really pain in the aXX. 6 major areas is modded.

sometimes OOB also can be very nice, or just add detailing.

And I don't have the tools for airbrushing and will probably not doing it cause I'm so poor =/

Wanted to buy another MG Strike Freedom Full burst but afraid that lots of MG will stack at my room =.=

Please advice and thanks.
*
If u save up the money of the 2 MG u just bought, u aledi have more then enough money to get a decent airbrush.

Of coz u still need a compressor.

Any 1 can help me wif a problem? The titan blue, do we need to mix colour to form it or there is a bottle of paint like mr colour that is in the colour of titan blue?
*
u can try this if u dun want to mix and it seems abit dark though---->Mr.COLOR 328 FS15050 (BLUE ANGELS)

i think this is the official color mixing show in manual---->bright blue(H15,65)50%+black(H2,2)30%+red(H3,3)20%
