QUOTE(StarGhazzer @ Feb 23 2007, 02:22 PM) Nail clippers are actually good enough to trim off the excess plastic, although sometimes the slightly curved surface is a bit of a hindrance. Pen knives are actually quite dangerous (but still effective if you can control the blade) since the blade is quite flimsy. If you cut thick sprues it might actually bend and break. Comic shops in Pelangi? I know got one Toycity there lo selling Tamiya stuff, but gundam there hard to find also. If got, also very expensive. Prefer to buy frm Edison Taiko here. Buy one there can buy 2 from Edison. Hehehe.... The best tool to have is still the hobby knife with replacable blades. In JB... most hardware shops should have those wire cutters, but hobby blades might be a bit harder to find. You can actually buy modelling tools at Pelangi Leisure Mall. Go upstairs and find the comic shop, they actually sell gunpla and some tools there. IIRC, I saw a couple of hobby-knife sets there with 3, 4 blades in them, something like that. Just don't look at the price of the gunpla there.... RM 300 for MG FAZZ... RM 200 for OYW RX78.... I share your frustration in the lack of modelling shops and community in JB... It's even worse in Melbourne now Added on February 23, 2007, 3:34 pm QUOTE(fyire @ Feb 23 2007, 03:03 PM) Maybe around the price of a SF FBAdded on February 23, 2007, 3:40 pm QUOTE(clivengu @ Feb 23 2007, 02:36 PM) Who wants to buy Mg Hi Nu from Edison? QUOTE(kyosuke86 @ Mar 5 2007, 08:58 PM) How to know if you're addicted to Hi-Nu? Very true.... - You keep staring at this page every day, every hour til you actually own it.. http://www.dalong.net/review2/mg/m99/m99_i.htm -You start carving wooden pencils to the shape of the Hinu and start lining it.. -You keep staring at edison's sales page waiting for updates on the hinu... -You keep visiting edison's sales page and ask "Is it here yet?" every few hours -You keep surfing everywhere on the internet for info about the Hinu -You keep window shopping at shops elsewhere for the Hinu and stare at the price and tell yourself.. "Just wait a few more days..." -You come up with a list of "Signs to watch out if you're addicted to the Hinu" (This list) |

MG Strike Noir is a good kit, but maybe i ord got the HG one, so not very tempting for me to get the MG one. Maybe will consider the MG Zeta v3 (is it v3)?

Suddenly become hot topic...
I just started collecting gundam since July 2006. My bro poisoned me into these (although he himself not that 'siao' with these). Ended up buying lotsa gundams in a few months time: a) NG 1/144 Justice (my 1st gundam, the color sux--->making me swear not to buy any NG 1/144 anymore) b) HG 1/144 Strike Noir (my 1st HG) c) MG Wing Zero Custom (my 1st MG) d) HG 1/144 astray blue frame e) MG Freedom f) MG MK2 v2 Titans f) MG F91 g) NG 1/100 Amatsu (my bro's punya) h) MG Crossbone (oso my bro's punya) i) HG 1/144 Slaughter Dagger j) MG Strike Freedom k) THE LIST CONTINUES..... Maybe because i like to assemble model kits and i find gundams reli quite interesting... 80% of the gundams oledi seludup into my house back at hometown (Mission Possible) This post has been edited by Savor_Savvy: Mar 13 2007, 01:03 AM |
