The PC less seems to be more stronger and harder to bend but as exchage u get more durable joints and also able to make pose that are difficult like holding a big weapon tight!!! Maybe can be apply on Wing gundam riffle!!!

i'll be investing on the MG Strike Noir .......i got 2 MG's now but none of them are painted, only lining is done.....how much would the painting resource for a cerain model cost, lets sat MG Freedom.

that would depend on how you'll be painting ur gundams.
1) hand paint/airbrush/marker?
2) type of paint? lacquer/enamel/acrylic?
3) do u want to paint the internal frame too?
4) what level of detail do u want?

Jz wanna ask, wil ther be a MG Destiny? da HG n normal 1/100 scale jz...sulky

agreed...one example is my experimentation with my kampfer...

1 spray can black - rm 30 (empty already)
1 spray can surfacer - rm 39 ( also empty already)
1 spray can topcoat flat - rm 30 ( still got balance as i dun spray all parts)
assortment of arcylic paint - +- rm 50
1 bottle of retarder - rm 10 ( this one dun use much )

so, cost almost rm 150++.....

but for crossbone n f91 just need flat coating and lining pen...so cost is cheaper

u won't get the answer unless u know someone work in bandai(specific department), or u know someone can predict future.

just got MG strike freedom. bought it at time machine for RM158, blady cheap loh. still wondering how come they sell it so cheap hmmmm

ok..for airbrushing..it will be like this..and i use to color my mg freedom

one mr surfacer1200 bottle(one bottle for me can last for at least 3 gundam) - rm15
leveling thinner( can last for many mixture with paints) - rm14
mr color bottle(one bottle can last 2 mg model only for me..this case..freedom inner frame took the whole gold bottle) - rm6 and that will be gold, blue, red, grey, and black
topcoat(last for 3 or 4 mg gundams - rm30

thats it..

Haha, actually i dun really care much bout pilots....I found Destiny kinda sucks, not coz it's being piloted by Shinn..it's coz of the Gundam doesn't seem powerful enuf...D flashy wing's burst r only a make up, hehe

At d end of d day, i'm still with the simple design of SF n IJ Furthermore, d upgraded version of Freedom n Justice r still d most powerful throughout d whole series....Designs r simple, not bulky yet powerful....nicely done with the Gold n Silver joints.....

Bout Hi Nu, i still prefer the normal Nu Gundam but it would b better if the backpack has 2 sets of funnels (izit) juz like the SD Force's...One sided funnel's kinda wierd....

hmm.. seems that hand painting does use a lot less paint compared to air brushing.

hand painting does use less paint but it requires skills to paint.. if the mixture is not right, u get brush strokes on ur models..
for handpaint u need to add a few drops of mr. retarder mild to ur paint and of cos u need to add thinner too..
airbrush sprays paint on unwanted surfaces too hence more paint required.. but no brush stroke problem except for some water droplets if ur compressor goes too hot..

which looks better spraying method or hand painting.....


since i've done the linings n applied the decals , it'll be very troublesome to spray paint it now rite

Finally this came to me .. my 1st Gundam model. Still dunno what post shud my IJ have .. hehe

both method also depends on your liking..like me i prefer AB than handbrushing..unless for those small mg figure..whihch is no choice have to use hand to paint them..

if you do the lining already..you still can spray ur gundam..but decal..you spray of couse you also cover the decal..

so is there any way to buy the decals?

spraying on the lining, wouldn;t it disolve it or something?

Maybe u'll need to realigned the beam on the right leg 1st before posing it again, hehe

N why dun u get a 1/100 Destiny so u can pose the last fight scene of IJ vs Destiny where IJ cutted the arms n legs or Destiny

my 2 cents:
if u are planing to paint it.. strip the decals.. if they're stickers.. make sure those sticky residue are removed too.. leftover stuff will kill ur paint job
spraying will most likely fade/blur ur panel lines.. so u have to redo them again..
u can order decals (water transfer type) online.. but kinda expensive..

hey cajun2de, how come ur wing zero custom can hold the gun so nicely. mine cannot even hold with both hands. =(

coz i combined the two guns n made it tilt near the shoulder

tat would be a lot easier, u can also re-visit ur older models when u really want to paint them later.. are u gonna airbrush ur iwsp?? it's a nice kit!

har... u mean SF and IJ looks plain and not bulky. To me i think they look too complicated. If u really want to said a mecha that is not bulky in CE era tat would be Astray Red Frame!!!

talking of non bulky but most powerful i would vote for God Gundam! OWN Kira and Athrun badly even with their seed open!!! GOD Finger (they goes with SF and IJ head)


I agree with this! But handpaint sometimes also consumes a lot of paint!


Get a water trap for ur AB then it will get rid of the problem.

I usually AB but sometimes handpaint is required too. Especially if they is a small part which has different color than others, or if they is too few parts with the particular color AB will be wasting a lot of paint and not to mention the clean up after AB1

before i do that, i need u guys to guide me on the required things n do wat 1st....

malaysia is a humid country so moisture is always there in the air.
i do have a moisture trap, but it only works to a certain "time" around 20-30mins depending on weather.. then need to drain the trap and wipe off excess water. do u have other methods which i could try? (pls don't tell me to buy an air dryer!! )

in Multifilla there got sell a type of hose where there is a part which is fill with silical gel(dunno if i spell wrong or not) in it, it is used to replace the hose connecting ur AB and compressor, it helps but a problem is it will expired after certain period of usage (maybe can take those in food one to replace them)

well, it requires patient and some balancing skills. the trick is avoid from gripping the the gun. there's actually a slot in WZC's palm in which you can use to balance the gun. once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy. i've made that pose a few times already, never fails .

VP means Vicious Project, a producer of conversion kits for Gundam kits (some of them SEED MGs for now). IIRC they are from CW (CORE-WOrKS), another producer of conversion kits for Gundam kits.

Difference is the left hand get missing easily..haha..actually,after assembling it,can see that it's a well made gunpla..No need much modification..

Because Hazel-custom/Advanced Hazel/Hazel-2 are all copy pastas made using the same basic mould from the white Hazel-custom. The new parts are moulded in different trees. Thus you'll get extra crap like the movable armor thing on your non-white Hazel's tree.

Alright, someone in 4chan was telling everyone, that the newer shipments of the MG AEUG Gundam Mark II Ver. 2.0 have the rotary waist like the Titans version now. Can anyone confirm this or not?

After looking at ur HG RX-78 reminds me of mine RX-78 which is the first MG produce. It is still in it boxes.

Oh 1 question for all of u gunplayers out there, is there a really good way to prevent the paints to fall of from scratches!!! Even applying primer does not really helps (the paints sometimes even fell of with the primer)?

cause i never do any lining on the inner frame..except for its fingers only..

yes..all just mr.hobby gold color(9)..try to mix with clear yellow..but doesnt turn out to be that nice also..end up just spray with one color..

about the paint? do you mean its chip off from the model or the parts that rub to each other always scratch the paint out? i found that if you use surfacer 500..the paint stick better than using a 1200 one..

I am using those Tamiya Primer Grey! It seems to be not strong enough! surfer paint chip of especially places near joints! I may tried the 500!!!

Well it's just a matter of using the Titans mould and pouring in the same plastic, so there shouldn't be a problem with the AEUG version.

Anyway, good job by BANDAI here to release an improved version of the MKII. At least they are improving on design flaws.

CE lover loathes Astrays? The red, blue, and gold frames are so good-looking it could pwn most of GSD's uninspiring designs. Just to make things clear, Dreadnought is also an Astray according to Lowe (Astray X) while Delta Astray is a total joke.

Anyway, from a gunpla point of view, the 1/100 Astrays have MG-like articulations although the joints are quite loose and fragile. Especially for the blue frame where the backpack is too bulky to be posed. My blue frame had too many freak accidents due to posing - Broke the right arm, broke the pegs of the palms, broke the orange part which holds the dagger...

One last thing about Astrays... The torso is too small compared to the fat thighs. Not that it affects the articulation though. Oh yeah, the hole at the back of the torso for the backpack is too small and weak to support gigantic backpacks, hence affecting the model's ability to stand on it's own (unless you bend it slightly forward like a hunchback)... these are problems faced by my blue frame and my friend's Amatu.

even for 1200 also..sometimes with ur nails also the color can come out..good if you wanna do weathering effect on your gunda..

I've never own any NG 1/100, so dun really know if there r problems like tat
Only have 1 HG 1/100, tat's Deathscythe H-Custom...noticed almost d same thing....arms r weak, can even pose properly with the scythe...waist couldn't support the weight of the cloak (devil wings)....legs...same with the waist, weak...
Any idea how to make enhance those parts? Sigh..that's why i'm waiting for the MG version...it might b able to generate some sales since many ppl fancy d design

As for the design for Seed MSV etc...i hate Astray series from the first in Seed to d last...Only like SF, IJ, Legend, Providence, Akatsuki, Aegis n Sword Strike....I worshiped Freedom, muahahahah
