Hi, lets say i want to set up my blog at www.ezraishotandmacho.com.
How do i go about doing it?
Are the following steps ok?
1) Find hosting company. 2) Rent server / server space. 3) Buy domain name 4) Upload CMS. (eg, wordpress or any other blogging CMS) 5) Set up databases.
Any suggestions? Semi-n00b here...

the faster way should be
get urself a webhosting service which come with domain name + space and it do come with CMS tools (so u can direct setup in it and it will auto setup ur db)
normally those linux webhosting will come with few tools.

i'd.. 1. Register domain. 2. Get webhosting. (with Fantastico) 3. Click Fantastico. 4. Click Wordpress. 5. Follow steps and just click Install. And you're good to go..

is this a hypothetical question or what?
the easiest way is to hire someone from microsoft, or whatever big shot names, they set up a blog for you.
the end.
no wonder not many answered this, they probably know its pointless.
again my answer is hypothetical, doesnt constitute to flame

Getting Started

if you do not want to spend money on hosting the easiest way is to host your blog with blogger.com. There you can use your own domain.

QUOTE(philyong @ May 17 2007, 06:41 PM) if you do not want to spend money on hosting the easiest way is to host your blog with blogger.com. There you can use your own domain. blogger has limited function, dude. I am thinking of switching to wordpress and buying my own domain and web hosting. You should try Blue Host.
