Panasonic Econvani.

York cooler but the compressor runs very noisy. Can be heard even from inside room.
Not sure after they merged with Daikin.

Both also ok.

But few months back the electrical guy frm electircal shop inform me dont pick the latest panasonic futuristic design one. He said that model quite sensitive mudah rosak. The econavi one quite ok. They have intelligent censor, will becooler if more than 1 person around and when it sense no one is in the area it will use less energy.

Got both outdoor unit from daikin and pana almost side by side..... pana outdoor unit is much more quieter than daikin unit of same hp. price wise both almost same, but daikin facing stock shortage on >=2hp units.... better chk with shop when can get stock.... 1hp or 1.5hp seems ok no shortage

***forgot to add that the above refers to R410 gas inverter units

I've been using Daikin for almost 9 years. Good product, especially its inverter line. Performance wise its just average. Panasonic is just popular because a lot of major electrical stores has them. For my next AC, its going to be York. Famous for being reliable, durable, and strong compressor even after so many years. Its also known for its noise, but it doesn't bother me that much. So far, I know York and Daikin now is under one company, there's another brand with them too, forgot what it was.

At same hp, the btu for daikin is higher than Panasonic

Tats y daikin faster cooling and noisy.

So price of cos daikin expensive a bit. According to the shop.

My living room unit almost 10 years still alive and kicking.
All other room jz 6 months.. so far so good

I choose Panasonic cos it's quieter..
Imo, dun buy the latest series. Sky whatever shit.. macam overpriced.

Well, that is also true which is also the reason why many people buy the two brands. However, I think my final decision that time is based on what my friend said + the recommendation by the seller + i like the slim design biggrin.gif

I got Samsung inverter triangle aircond 2 years ago, works well. Quiet and fast cool, easy to clean filter too.

Though, gotta admit, I do feel worried in the future, when it need to service/replace part, most likely much more expensive than Panasonic, Daikin, York sweat.gif

Yup, I agree with this point.
I did use 1 unit 2.5 hp, 2 unit 2hp inverter, 2 unit 1hp inverter, 1 unit 1.5 inverter..
Overall everything work great ,been using it more than 5 years..
Service it once two years...
No problem at all.

But the price is expensive than pana n daikin..
For long term use I think is worth.
Mitsubishi Heavy Duty will be cheaper but I using Mitsubishi Electric .
Mitsubishi Electric design air-cond for factory type usage.
Heavy duty is for home usage.

The best is daikin inverter, save energy a lot. Sharp is the second best, Panasonic inverter damage 3 times already.
