Is it just me or the number of rude and disrespectful uber and grab drivers have risen lately?

Last year there were hardly any incidents of rude drivers (I had in total 2 rude drivers in the year 2015). This year though I have already encountered 12 rude grab and uber drivers.

One particular incident really annoyed me when an uber driver asked me rudely the shortest route to my destination. In his own words he said with a raised voice 'Eh eh eh you tell me the shortest route to your destination and make sure it is the shortest route ar. The sooner I am done with you the better'.


A Grabcar driver nearly got into a fight with a friend of mine recently because he didn't like the place of pickup that my friend was waiting at.


Are they becoming as bad as the taxi drivers now or am I just unlucky?

Inb4 agenda gabungan pemandu teksi menjatuhkan uber / grab.

because most of the taxi drivers also switch to uber/grab so......like that lor

just give them 1 star and move on

still they are way better than the normal taxi driver

Taxi charge RM20, Uber only charge RM15. So why wanna be so good to the customer?

I think this may work. But you need a strong worded comment as well. I once left a good comment for a driver and Uber actually look at it and asked me for further information.

So 1 star with strong comment.

Give them 1 star if really bad ... since if they get low rating, then can't get incentive and will quit soon

But if the driver is decent, then give 5 star la... Uber and Grab policy on the rating is gila ... anything below 4 star, the driver can makan rumput liao

I have noticed that the really rude ones are old uncles with 2-3 being young adults. Why are uncles so rude and angry all the time?

Most probably ex-taxi driver that have no choice but to do uber/grabcar to eat, but they still hate uber/grabcar, so they will drive cincai.

But I see many drivers are generally rude la...u know why? Coz everyday u drive 10hours under hot sun, kena jam like cb, then car not comfy, etc.

So suck it up or take driveless vehicle.

Yup, the rating affects if the driver is eligible for bonus/incentives ...
Without those bonus/incentives, the earning is shit

there is passenger rating if the passenger is shit, give 1 star

Good thing is you can rate both ways.

Met one lalabeng grab driver never call to confirm my exact waiting location before he comes. I saw him in GPS go round and round, he couldn't find me, then only he call me, scold me why I wait at another place.

There will be rotten apples among the good ones. Just make sure you did your due diligence by reporting errant drivers to the respective ride company.

I insert my location according to my gps, but the gps locator is not really accurate of my exact location. Most driver will call before coming, but this driver never call me.

Never before. Not happy give them 1 star lah. Not sure about Grab but Uber is very particular and strict about service.

GPS often puts you at the wrong side of the road and rarely very accurate

Normally immediately after booking I'll SMS the driver with exact pickup point, to make sure there's no confusion - no issues so far.

the GPS location really cannot pakai one always wrong, made my driver pusing-pusing to holland, he also stupid cos didn't confirm my location first.

Why dont u giv the right location? At least write it in the description. It is not convenient for driver to call while driving.

The Uber driver tutorial video said only to call once you have reached the pickup point and passenger is nowhere to be seen.

The experienced riders will normally SMS their location.

i'll have to say riders also problem they think they pay a lot....if not happy go take a cab, that's what i can advise

I notice nowadays i get driver that 10-20 mins away from me..
Although when i just browse i can see like 4-5 uber nearby.

No quality control, should go wannabe drivers should go through attitude screening interview/tests and many more, but in the future uber don't need drivers anymore as they will implement their self driven cars/taxi.

Now let me as an Uber driver to give my thought about being a so-call Uber Driver can earn rm8000 per month thingy.You think only the passengers got problem?I,myself need to face countless of rude riders and they think with those cheap amount of money they pay they have the privilege to do anything they want?Got one case I remembered an old aunty shouting at me complaining on phone that she cant see me at her location while in fact I was around 3-4 meters in front of her.That she wanted me to exactly be in front of her.I was taking her at KTM and it was super hectic so how come I can go park in front of her?Got another case an amoy even made face to me when I dont have enough rm1 and needed to give her 50 cents coins worth rm1 .Why she thought she so rich ar can do face like that and didnt want to accept my coins?Well go any other stories but tired to tell.

The driver did the right thing.

I think the time the driver spent arguing with the guard cost him more petrol than actually driving up to your house.

Pay rm3-4 act like naik limousine.if they so rich should call for uber black instead.

i nvr take uber..i always take grab..for me..i hv never encounter any rude drivers..
