been using tngo for BTS ticket. hassle free and no need to queue at the counter
MRT just use CC
*
same like rabbit card can only be used for BTS ticket and selective MRT lines. Can’t be use for blue MRT line etc.

Chinatown - majority are Chinese tourist

Khao San Road - majority are tourists from westen countries.

Pick pocket signage are everywhere in Bangkok and not just Jodd Fair. Reclining Buddha temple keep making announcements to remind visitors regarding pick pockets issues.

i see. then have to be vigilant whenever in crowded pack area.
izzit more safe to put wallet and handphone in bagpack instead of pocket?
my mum got her handbag cut few years ago and lost her handphone. luckily passport still there
wow only 600 thb...  sweat.gif
guess my case should be okie...

looks like bkk really many tourist going in...
most of the hotel i checked in agoda sold out or almost full...

there is no sure way to 100% prevent the pick pocket from happening unfortunately. Just take extra precautions and should be ok

and break your cash separately into diff areas. You may keep some cash in your luggage in the hotel.

As for passport, so far no police stop and want to check my passport. Only need to shown my passport in 2 occasions: when buying rabbit card in bts train station and enter one of the night club.

.it is up to you whether u want to bring your passport alone when you are on the street.

No worry. You will have fun in bangkok

A bit of comment on bolt e hailing service. Harder to get drivers and waiting time is longer.

grab offer the best service so far. Use grab saver option to save $ but no available during peak hours.

BTs and MRT is the way to go around in bkk. Grab and ehailing cars in bkk are notorious for 'fong fei ke'!

Pls stop acting like an expert when you are not even physically there.

taxi driver’s mindset in Bangkok is the same as the one in Malaysia

need to be careful with them. Grabcar is a much better option.

Malaysian taxi is regulated too. 😂

I booked grab after out from Bangkok airport custom clearance. Immediately get a driver and car arrived within 10 minutes.

Order grabcar need to queue one? First time I heard it. 😂
