Hi guys, will be going to bangkok middle of next month and my first time there. will be travelling with another 2 buddy while meeting another one there.

Just a few question,

1) From the airport (don meung) i were to consider taking taxi which should i choose? normal taxi, uber or grab?

2) The only place i think of going for now is the grand palace. would be going to wat arun and maybe wat pho as well. i think we will be taking sky train there then take the boat ride? how much am i expecting for the boat ride? as some ppl say if we go for tour package will be expensive. i prefer the cheaper option as we dont mind exploring stuff ourselves.

3) Any awesome restaurants to recommend?

4) any good place to recommend for us to visit? will not go to the floating market though

Thank you

1) uber . fixed rate 300baht , not include toll . can use new simpack to register uber , and get extra 100baht discount.

2 & 3 no idea

4) u like shopping mall ? Zen and Terminal 21 is a nice place to go . Siam centre and Siam Paragon is high end mall like Pavillion KL

1. take the bus, its cheap
2. skip grand palace, packed with PRC..but go wat pho and wat arun
there is no sky train going there, you'd have to go saphan taksin to use the chao phraya river express
3. Pee Aor Tom Yum Goong(ratchatewi station)

Thx for the recommendation.
Most probably would take uber then from airport as there is 3 of us flying to BKK and we are ariving late evening.
My friend just want to see have a look at siam paragon and chicks around there (LOL) . not really into shopping though.

Noted on grand palace wat pho and wat arun. Actually was planning to have braised pork leg at Charoen Saeng Silom.
I google and found out that its very near the mandarin oriental pier (chao praya river) .
Was thinking after a decent brunch we can go to watpho/arun/ grand palace through the jetty at mandarin oriental pier.

Will look for pee aor tom yum as well!

i sort of didnt get my itineary planned out yet as this is a suprise trip. we decided this trip just recently.
Trying to sort of some place to visit and do.

we are interested in nightlife in BKK as well.

Not going to the floating market though.
