is korea good to go on November?
planning to go with my parent, public transport convenient?
any advice?
will be quite cold, but that's just from my own perspective. my wife and i have weak tolerance to cold.
public transport is extremely convenient. make sure you have naver map installed, it's extremely detailed. like which bus number to take, which train line to take, in how many minutes it'll arrive, etc, it's real time, so you'll know when to change bus/train.
papago is a good translator if you have no idea how to read korean letters.
will your parents be able to walk long distance? if not, make sure you find accommodation near the exits.
note: some exits have no escalator/lift. so you'll have to carry luggage up and down the stairs. if this bothers you, look for better accomodation.
food wise, it's heaven, everything i had there was crazy good. every single restaurants provide tissue and drinking water. (again, this is very subjective coz my wife and i can accept almost anything except raw food). most memorable one was actually the grilled intestines. i don usually eat much, but damn... i love it there.
if your parents are into museums, activities, sight-seeing- discover seoul pass is damn worth it. personally took the 48h one, to maximize the value, activate in the morning around 10-11am, so it expires on the 3rd day's 10-11am.
e.g. activating it on 18th september 11am. it'll end exactly 48h later. so on the 20th 11am. make sure you redeem lotte world pass in the morning. that way you'll have a full day activity
recommendation: it's good to learn some basic korean alphabets so you can type some places in naver map without issue, but most places will already have english name so no prob.
