hi sifu. so i reserved the haruka + icoca train online at below website and going to collect them in kix airport upon arrival. i am taking the haruka train from KIX to kyoto upon arriving japan.
http://www.westjr.co.jp/global/en/ticket/icoca-haruka/

i remembered in the previous thread someone mentioned about the reserve seat in the train as I don't want to stand for 1hour+ but i don't see that option during ticket reservation on the website. did I miss something?

haruka ticket is only for the train boarding. once you are inside, there will be people check on your ticket, then you just tell him/her that you want to add on for reserve ticket.

So you can just find reserved seat and sit there waiting people approach you and sell you the ticket.

you mean while i get the boarding tix to board the train seat down in the reserve seat. i will wait for the tix janitor come and collect cash from me?
how do I identify reserve seat for haruka train?

hi guys, would like to get an estimate cash yen needed to exchange for my next week trip. travel location is Osaka and Kyoto for 7 days.

if i were to eat streetfood, 7-11, mcD, some ramen shop like ichiran and very rare of exclusive dining. can i say RM50 a meal is safe? say i eat 3 meals per day that will be RM150 and RM50 for transport to top up my icoca card.
that would make it rm200 per day cash for food and travel hence RM1.4k for 7 days.
and top up rm1k for shopping, so is it safe to exchange RM2500 to YEN cash?

and can someone help to verify the ATM card we use here in Malaysia like Maybank atm card can withdraw cash from 7-11 or japanpost?

From Arashiyama to Kinkakuji no need taking Taxi. If taking Taxi , it will easily cost you RM100 +/-
Can refer to Page 1 My Guide
It showed you how to take Bus from Arashiyama to Kinkakuji
