I'm planning the usual route on central hokkaido..
new chitose - noboribetsu - lake toya - niseko - otaru - sapporo - back airport chitose.
6 days.

I would think driving is still the best way to visit all these places.
What would you recommend ??

When snowing, its really cold and freezing. Its dangerous to drive car during night or early morning...because on days..little bit warm..and night ,temperature  will drop and its too freezing...Ice bump. 7 years are enough for me to stay in Hokkaido.. smile.gif

Just returned from hokkaido. Scenic views during winter is surreal..
Driving there was dangerous but it's still a great experience smile.gif

Snow was heavy they have to close off the highways and had to use the jalan kampung
