Thanks for sharing, will make a note on these landmarks. I haven't really research the details yet because my trip has been delayed till May next year (sigh) but its still good info.

I like JUMP! but mostly One Piece. I'll make time for Haikyuu some day HAHAHAHA just afraid that this is gonna bore my non-anime friends, unless there are interesting rides/ stuff to see even for non-fans. Just like Ghibli - its so interesting and interactive that non fans were impressed by the way things can be "played" or viewed.
*
hehe, Nikko is a not a place you want to plow through, you'll want to take the time to go through each attraction. It's a place to give you a tranquil and peaceful feeling. You won't want to ruin it by rushing through the attractions. Hehe.

J-world is strictly for anime fans though. IMO at least. If your friends aren't interested in any of the anime it features, they will be very disappointed. rclxub.gif It'll be better for them to just have a walk in Sunshine city while you go to J-world. biggrin.gif . Since you liked One Piece, you must make a trip to One Piece Tower. The opening scene at the 360 degrees theatre (5-10 minutes) will blow you away. Hehe. This attraction isn't permanent. Better make a trip for it while you still can. biggrin.gif

In tokyo station. Ow.. Figuring what to do for the next 3.5hrs to check in hotel. Any suggestion on good food here? I already bought shinkansen ticket and metro ticket. Do i need suica? No right?
Also weather is awesome here. Didnt need heatpack.... For me at least. I prolly took the same flight as the guy who post earlier.
*
There's candy street, character street and ramen street under tokyo station. You'll have to ask around on how to reach there. It's very intimidating to navigate there. And the staff might not recognize the name character street too (such as my case.. sweat.gif ) If you're willing to wait for 30 to 40 mins in queue, you can try the ramen at ramen street, apparently, it's a collection of the famous ramen all over Japan. Maybe it's less cold in Japan now, it was crazy last week.. rclxm9.gif

There's never "too much time" in Tokyo Station HAHAHA each and every time I have to be dragged away by friends. I could spend 1-2 hours in JUMP! shop itself <33333 and _ChAoS_ on the J-World, i've been to One Piece tower but what??? a 360 show??? I didn't see that!
*
It's at the entrance just right before the dining table where the characters will sing a song for the main theme. You must've seen it already.. thumbup.gif The jump shop was much smaller than i thought though. I couldn't find what i wanted. sad.gif Maybe because i went to the Jump store in Solamachi in the morning just before i went to the one in Tokyo Station in the afternoon.. sweat.gif

It really depends. When you're under the sun, its hot. Or when you're inside the shop, it could get pretty warm. But once outside, its really cold. Depends on one's tolerant. Optionally, can always plan when you'll wear it. If most of the activities is indoor, the heat tech may not be needed.
*
I spent most of my time outdoors (especially when visiting the outskirts area), so i guess that's why i needed it, it was very windy last week as well. But i do agree that the indoor is very warm. Everytime i step inside a building, i will have to take the gloves, the mask, the scarf and unzip my jacket instantly.

*
I doubt it's inclusive of luggage though, if inclusive, it's pretty cheap. But you'll still be suffering for 7 hours unless you purchase meals, the internet and also movies too.. brows.gif by that time, it should be close to JAL flight already.. which is 1.2k per person btw.. haha

A friend bought it before - RM800+ inclusive of all (except meal). Meal you can bring some bread or sandwiches on board. I doubt AA ladies will throw you off board for having bread hahahahaa. As for entertainment - bring a book or load some videos/ movie on phone before flying. Even so, I find music + reading is the best combination.

But yes, if additional RM300-RM400 can provide comfort, why not smile.gif i personally prefer JAL too. But for some, RM400 = 10,000yen. That could be 2 days' expenses in Japan hehe
*
They probably won't throw you off the plane, but they might give you a disapproving look for a full 7 hours... you might lose your appetite then.. laugh.gif laugh.gif

i'm one who got RM800++ with luggage and food
i didnt and won't bring my own food
inside the plane is cold, i at least will eat their hot food, its a 7 hour flight anyway...pay a little bit more for hot food
the temp is not the killer, its the wind
when i was there...unexpectedly its 3-4c....the temp didn't kill, the wind killed each and everyone of my family members..it was constantly blowing
i feel like i wanna die laugh.gif
*
Yes! the wind is the killer... laugh.gif So it's important to have wind breaker jacket, wind proof gloves or a scarf to block the wind from going in through your neck area if your jacket can't cover it.. hehe

Hi all...
I'm planned and booked my flight to Osaka. However, is in mid-June. Hence, Okinawa not so doable for me as I planned to do diving initially.
Last minutes book last year during zero fares promos.

Below is my drafted itineraries:

Day 1: Osaka > fly to > Hokkaido
Day 2: Hokkaido - Furano (Flower Sea) - Hakodate/(commute overnight Shinkansen Hakodate - Tokyo)
Day 3: Tokyo - Day Trip - Jalan2
Day 4: Tokyo - Day Trip - Fujikawaguchi-ko (maybe overnight, depending on flower season/mt fuji hike)
Day 5: Tokyo - Jalan2
Day 6: Tokyo - After Tsukiji Fish Market - Jr Train to Nagoya OR Kyoto - Kyoto Half Day Trip
Day 7: Kyoto Jalan2
Day 8: Kyoto Jalan2 a bit and go back Osaka n Jalan2 a bit
Day 9: Universal Studio/Harry Potter Theme Park
Day 10: Jalan2/Half Day Trip until Flight going back KL

Jr Pass is 1 week validity. Planned to use from Day 2 - Day 8.

Since diving no longer valid to me due to jellyfish season n non-whale n non-hammerhead season, that's y planning to Touch N Go in Osaka. Will come back here next year Apr Spring and explore down south, Hiroshima etc...

Hokkaido, I've been there b4 last year but during Winter month for ski, Otaru, King Crabs. Thinking to explore the Sea Flower, Yubari Melons, Missed my Miso Ramen, and probably dropped by Otaru for Squid & Sea Urchin ice cream.
Me and my partner are not really city people. We preferred Natural Stuff more...

Is the above plan doable? Is a bit rush as it seen, since we're still young; thinking a bit of challenge like this can be done?
Is there any overnight Shinkansen Train from Hakodate to Tokyo?
*
It's not impossible, but you'll be more tired from going from one place to another than anything else... rclxub.gif why not just focus on one or 2 places? doing all 3 is a bit crazy... you might end up like a zombie and just able to touch the surface of all areas.

Yeah! Thanks for the input!
Will consider this in my next trip!
Yeah! It's crazy I know that's y I have some questions to solve before going ahead...

hahaha... This trip is not travel specifically in exploring the whole area in Japan. But specifically in the area that happen in that season like Furano Sea Flower. My travel this way is like Spring in Hokkaido slowly heading to Summer Skies in Osaka.

Osaka and Tokyo won't run away or disappear anytime. If I miss anything, I can always come back next time and try something else. It's an adventure! I enjoy the moments and the memories I've been.

Furthermore, I plan to grab a Jr Pass Green Card. Planned to utilise it. Focusing on a train ride down from Hokkaido to Osaka. Stop by couple of days in Tokyo and Kyoto. I can come again next round doing Osaka-Okinawa-Ishigaki-Yonaguni and probably some place down south.

Back to question:
Wonder where to get the Hakodate Shinkansen line time table to Tokyo? Is there a train commute at night?
*
You can check for train schedule at http://www.hyperdia.com . They include shinkansen in their database as well.

How many day u spend for above place u mention?

Question to all
How should I spend my time in Kamakura vs enoshima? Planning to take Jr to Kamakura estimate reach there at 8am  spend 5 hours there n go to enoshima until 8pm and goes back to Tokyo.. Enough? Or should I spend more in Kamakura?
*
5 hours is enough to cover the main sites. Depends on how many shrines you wanted to visit though. If only the main shrines, it will be enough. It's because you can't be reaching Enoshima too late or most of the shops will be closed.

For your first day, I will put Skytree on top with Asakusa, as you can walk there for just about half hour from Asakusa station.

Like you said, it will be tiring to go on disneyland and disneysea on consecutive days. I will rather have them apart.

For Shinjuku Gyoen, there is a closing time, you will have to reach Shinjuku early for that, but to do it, you will have to sacrifice some time from Shibuya and Harajuku. If you're not planning to do a lot of shopping (like me), you can do all 3 places in a day. But if you plan to buy a lot of stuff, split shinjuku to a day by itself.

Kawaguchiko/Hakone, if the only reason you're there is to have a closer look at Fuji-san, go to Kawaguchiko, if you're just into natural scenery or more activities to do in general, Hakone will be a better choice.

Tsukiji-Ginza-Akiba, like some of the forumers mentioned, if you're into otaku culture, a portion of a day in Akiba is barely enough. If you're planning to just have a general look, then it's ok. However, ginza and Akiba is not close to each other.

there's a 24hr Ramen Ichiran in Ikebukuro...can go try

and if you are fond of kitkat...there's a KitKat Chocolatory store in Ikebukuro as well
*
KitKat Chocolatory is very small in Ikebukuro though.. i was rather disappointed by it. But Ikebukuro is generally quite a fun place to be in .. With scenery similar to Shinjuku and Shibuya but it's less touristy and restaurants are plentiful as well. I will prefer to spend more time in Ikebukuro than what i did (I only went there for dinner and J-World)

I was thinking Ginza and Odaiba are night viewing so I was considering it... Yes I'll take your advice of swapping them  thumbsup.gif If I don't go for Mt Fuji probably I could squeeze in some other place..

As you can see morning sessions are cherry blossom time because my old folks wants to see them. 'I hope there are still flowers on trees when we are there end of this month' *finger cross

I could see my day 3 are very packed and tiring.. probably i might forgo Piss alley..

4 days seems like ganjeong trip right? Need to save some leave for my Aug trip..
*
Also, another reminder for you for your trip to Meiji Jingu, almost all shrine buildings have been boarded up for renovation. All you can see now is just a huge wooden plank with a picture of the shrine on it just to let you imagine how the shrine looks like. IMO, it's like not looking at the shrine at all. If that's your purpose of visit to Yoyogi park, be prepared for disappointment.

It's pretty easy actually, you depart from Asakusa station and arrive there directly. I will definitely recommend Nikko, it's the best part of my Tokyo trip.
