anyone have experience of renting an ETC card? I was thinking to rent it but would it be better to not rent it and save the rental fee since the tolls can be paid using cash? and how much discount will I get by using ETC at the toll gate instead of using cash?

Thanks alot for your recommendation!

What about for the internet part? Is it cheaper to get a router or a sim card?
I found this on google looks like a great deal! For their sim card..

Thanks to a fellow member whom suggested Pupuru for Wi-Fi rental, and Yokoso SIM for well, SIM. Google and check them out. I used Japan Wireless twice before, and it was bloody expensive, until a member shared about Pupuru. I've registered for it next month. We'll see how it goes...

Sorry I am not the right person to ask as I am living in Tokyo, I have my own permanent internet plan. Hence never really investigated what are the good plans

Found a perfect price and great package sim card. I think having a sim card is safer and more reliable.

When i went to Sounkyo[18~19 Oct](near Asahikawa/Kamikawa that side) on top of Daisetsusun already cover with snow.

22th Oct, Hokkaido University(Sapporo) there already has yellow/red leaves.

Weather in Sapporo also almost 3~13 celcius during 19~23 Oct.

i reached station 5 at from cable car at Sounkyo, the cable car from Station 5 to Station 7 closed. I saw some ppl hike from Station 5 to Peak/Station 7, i guess you may need to register entrance at Station 5 before hike. The worker there not advise to hike when the trail is covered with snow.
I did tried to hike from Station 5 to Station 7, but halfway give up, bcos it seems need to take 1.5 hours to reach Station 7.

How i enter? I park my car outside the university (GPS: 43.075640, 141.347510) , then walk inside there.
Along this road (GPS: 43.075512, 141.345070) the scenery very nice.
Security will not allow tourist to drive in, so better park your car outside.

Hi smile.gif
Anyone here knows how to make a reverse charge call from Japan to Malaysia using our Malaysian mobile number? Just in case of emergency coz AIA says they accept reverse charge calls from overseas.
