i have been trying to talk her out of seeing the sakura but she insist to be there and I don't want her to go there and there's no flowers and all this rushing will be for nothing.

I want October because we have more time to save up and we avoid the holidays and crowd and enjoy Japan to the fullest. I'm almost getting into an argument with her as we speak.

If me, I pay for my gf if she cannot afford full amount. Ke ke... Maybe I am being too generous?

When I was browsing for Tokyo Subway Ticket, I saw this:
Is it still possible to buy the ticket if I am using the ICAO passport which doesn't need visa?
*
as long as u r not japanese/pr/ep holder
u eligible to buy

visa mention above i think u jus need to show them ur arrival card

i had just return from my 2 weeks Tokyo-Kyoto trip. its was awesome, but few thing i would like to mentioned base on my journey.
alot of restoration happening around.
Asakusa Sensoji Pagoda has been encase (wrapped arround), Tokyo Tower top observation deck just got into renonvation, but mid one still available. Nikko Rennoji Temple has been encase as well, but u can pay to go in, n as bonus see their botak roof top on working stair case (no lift. 5th n 7th floor can be enter n observe their restoration works)
Nijo castle certain hall has been encase as well. some artwork (wall painting) has been moved for re-replication work.
Kyoto temple; Yasaka n Kiyomizu (temple hall) also suffer the same.

mostly all due for Tokyo Olympic.
for my 1st time, it was ok.

I am struggling about my journey..

I'm wondering in my trip within 7 days should I split staying in Kyoto for 3 days and 4 days in Osaka or all 7 days in Osaka and then I travel to Kyoto for the 3 days to visit Kyoto? I search the JR travel fees.. For per trip is about 900 yen on Mon-Thursday..
On weekends is 1,500 per trip..

Do they give out discounts on return tickets?

There's a 14 days Kansai Itinerary in the 1st post, you may use that as guide? 7 days will be a little packed to hit all the areas but you may manage with proper scheduling.

Did the AAsia Haneda trip, delayed 20 mins and long immigration queue so out at 11:30. Decided bus (night charge, double) was the safer option . It got to Shibuya station 20 minutes before the next connection but there was a 40 minute jam right at the entrance so I missed the last bus and had to take a taxi for over 1000 yen :-(

My bad gamble cost 4x the train fare but it was also pouring rain so maybe worth it to be dropped at the doorstep.
The only reason to go by bus is it might spare you doing lots of stairs with your luggage.

I also said "personally", hehehe. I spent almost the entire day from day to night; girls, Gundam, anime, cameras, techs. Wow. Going there again pretty soon... Woot!

It's more of a question if you wanted to buy anything there. If you don't plan to buy anything. A few hours will be enough. But if you love anime and want to buy merchandise, 1 day at least.. heh

You gotta slow down, and have a look around... Especially the neon lights all over, and the maids in skimpy dress even during winter... Awww, almost feel bad for them. Hehehe.

Hi, I will be travelling to Kyoto and Osaka from 29 Nov to 8th Dec. Can anyone help to advice the best and cheapest telephone card / sim card for making calls back to Malaysia - land line. Need to call back to check on my folks at home at least one or twice a day. Many thank in advance.
