Just did a rough planning and you are right. 5k is enough. I am looking into flying on the last week of April and coming back on the second week. Damn myr currency is so bad these days. Ugrh.

Anyways i have a rough idea from reading the comments

Kuching to KL then to Osaka. Three days there. Then another two in between somewhere I haven't decided and ultimately spending another three days in Tokyo.

I'll read up more

Might need to re-consider last week of April, Golden Week.

Our previous TS RegentCid would say yes, it's probably the worst time to visit Japan during Golden Week.

Yes. Worst Time because Hotel will increase price. All attraction places will full of people. Super long Q. If you plan visit Disneyland or Universal Studio at Golden Week...Estimate to Q minimum 2 hour just at the entrance gate only.
and all popular rides need Q minimum 2 hour.
If you plan just visit Tokyo / Osaka / Kyoto only without going out from City....still ok.
If you plan out of City then will be nightmare. Train & air ticket ticket will be fully sold. Bus will be stuck at Highway more than 2 - 10 hour.

My flight back to KL is at 10am. So that day confirm cannot use. And I am figuring what ways should I use since we have luggages and need to rush. Friday I think usually the train would be pack during morning? The last resort for me should be by car.

Day 1 challenge is that if you have enough time to rush to Tsujiki incase of any delays from your flight, delay on your luggage and stuff.

Do anyone know what time Tsujiki outer fish market closes? If is 12pm then I also want to change my itinerary to this. Go straight from airport and spend the day @ Ginza first. laugh.gif

Also, what are the best route to travel from Narita Airport Terminal 1 to Tsujiki?
- Narita Skyaccess from Narita Airport Terminal 1 to Higashi Ginza? Only Β₯1330 per pax without seat. hmm.gif

If you are panning to use the train, please be really early. I went to Tokyo and Osaka in the early of this month and my flight is at Kansai Airport 11am. I took the Express Kansai JR, estimate 44 mins to destination. 7.30am im at namba station, sit in the train for 2x mins then the train stop.

The operator was saying 10-15 minutes the train will recover, but it doesnt, somehow there is a crash in the track. So waited 20 minutes and cant tahan straight go down rush for taxis. TBH, there is very few taxi outside of Osaka and I almost missed my flight.

Taxi cost 8k Yen for 1x KM.

Has anyone been to the chichibu festival? Keep missing out dates where they have large fireworks festival and this is the only one during my travel date on 2nd/3rd December.

I am actually planning to change my flight as I am not taking AA this time. Not sure how much I need to add on if change. hmm.gif

Just wondering, how long you all usually spend on Shinjuku and Shibuya if is only for sightseeing? hmm.gif Add in another 2 hours for shopping, 1 day trip to both place enough time? From 10.30am onwards. icon_question.gif

Just call the customer service line of the flight company that you are going with and ask them to check on the price. Usually, it will the price of that day flight - the price you have paid + some handling fees

A dilemma. I'll be in Japan for one week, and another week in HK, then only I'll head home. In HK, I can buy and use a prepaid SIM worth less than $40 for 1GB lasting for a month; definite choice. In Japan, if I'm to get the WiFi rental from Malaysia, I'll ahve to pay for the 2 weeks duration even though I'm only using it in Japan for a week because I'm only returning the device 2 weeks later. If I'm getting the WiFi rental from Japan, instead, I'll be paying twice the amount of money offered locally in KL. Any suggestions how I may turn around with this?

There is an elevated train, and it prolly costs you a few hundred yen. Walking is also ok provided it's not too hot or cold. Google map it and it shows you the cost, think should be 3 or 4 stops.

You can directly return the device and claim back the deposit at the counter of KLIA2, unless you are doing flight transfering directly to Johor once you reach KLIA2.

Buffa when are you going? I bought the yokoso sim as well. However I contacted the SG company instead since they offer the 91 day card. tongue.gif and shipping was 5 SGD

2 years ago when I went Japan, I rented a wifi through pupuru. Can return through any postbox in Japan (they include an envelope which has been paid already). Quite reasonable and good coverage too.

I just checked and it's around 400yen per day now. Maybe you can check and consider?
