RM13 a day. Pretty cheap. But RM200 refundable deposit, now that's a pain in the butt.
*
How about the connection quality? The deposit i am aware of, not a big problem for me hmm.gif

Hi, I would like to confirm I want to go to Osaka station from Kyoto station and I have JR Pass for it.

From hyperdia, I found there are 2 type of train go Osaka station from Kyoto station without transit

1. LTD. EXP THUNDERBIRD 32
2. JR Special Rapid Service  for BANSHUAKO

Does that mean my JR Pass only eligible (free) for the 'JR Special Rapid Service  for BANSHUAKO '
If I take "LTD. EXP THUNDERBIRD 32", I have to pay for the fees?
*
Yep, I second the earlier confirmation. You should be fine using these trains with a JR Pass, although you might have to pay extra for a reserved seat.

Some other options for Osaka to Kyoto ..

Used it in my last trip. Coverage is good, except Arashiyama suffer a bit signal degradation, but considerable since its mountainous area. Other than that, unlimited full speed, which i can do anything. Done a speed test which the speed is always between 5 mbps to 30 mbps depends on the location.

If you're only going to do the outer fish market I would question the need to even bother putting tsukiji in your itinerary at all ...

Hey bro, why you say that? I am thinking to have almost the same plan as well. hmm.gif Can explain more please? laugh.gif

Nice feedback - booking mine as well - I was just contemplating to go with Celcom Roaming at RM138 for 1 week but I guess this option is better.

While at it need a little suggestion:

Will be arriving at Narita - do I just get the N'EX TOKYO Round Trip Ticket or is there a better option?

I was considering that, but need to pay the RM200 deposit and have to courier back + all the cost etc (I from Johor). I feel stress need to take care of this (my psychological la)

I decided to get Yokoso Sim from lazada. Just use my phone to tether. Anyone has experience before?

You can directly return the device and claim back the deposit at the counter of KLIA2, unless you are doing flight transfering directly to Johor once you reach KLIA2.

Just did a rough planning and you are right. 5k is enough. I am looking into flying on the last week of April and coming back on the second week. Damn myr currency is so bad these days. Ugrh.

Anyways i have a rough idea from reading the comments

Kuching to KL then to Osaka. Three days there. Then another two in between somewhere I haven't decided and ultimately spending another three days in Tokyo.

I'll read up more

Totals for 2 pax. BTW those 3 trips were not 'luxury' trips at all - just mostly normal "business hotels" and airbnb with the occasional splurge on ryokan and nicer meals.

Just giving some data points 👌🏻

There were s in front of $. Not singapore dollar right? ohmy.gif ohmy.gif

Just wondering, how long you all usually spend on Shinjuku and Shibuya if is only for sightseeing? hmm.gif Add in another 2 hours for shopping, 1 day trip to both place enough time? From 10.30am onwards. icon_question.gif
