OH yes. Together. That's why I am having problem now as I don't know what other ways that I can take nice picture without a tripod and ask ppl to take for us. She has a thing with the angle. sweat.gif

I use a tripod and a wireless trigger. As for tripod, you can buy a foldable one. It can fold into like 30cm in length.

Okay, GG edi. I honestly didn't expect Tokyo would snow. Meaning I need to spend extra money for clothing. cry.gif

Btw, would like to ask those who are frequent travelers; how you guys actually capture couple photos without the use of selfie stick? hmm.gif I am planning to bring a tripod over cause my gf been stressing she wants to take NICE NICE PHOTOS.  rclxub.gif I want faint edi cause the tripod I bought for this trip, is half of the height of normal tripod. sweat.gif Should I just get a heavy duty monopod instead? hmm.gif

Tokyo seldom snow. If it snow its once in a blue moon. Recently nearly everywhere in Japan like Hiroshima was covered with snow but not Tokyo. If it snow, its not only clothing. You also have to think of waterproof shoes as well. So suggestion is dont prepare for the snow. If you are so (un)lucky that it really snows, then just buy it in Tokyo.

Its freezing cold though, especially when I wake up to go to work and also returning home at night. My home is near the sea and the wind is really chilling.

It's only 4°C now in Tokyo - that's hardly freezing
You don't need ultra warm heattech. But then some people memang cannot tahan cold wan so I dunno. If I wear ultra warm, I'll probably get cook alive

Hmm, then really need to prepare for the worst. I've bought scarf cause it looks nice, then I realized I actually need it for Tokyo trip. laugh.gif Water proof shoe.. don't think I have any.. need to spend money again.. sweat.gif Now need to hunt for gloves. Saw Muji selling those smartphone friendly gloves. Anyone know what are the choices besides Muji?

DisneySea ya? My gf went Disneyland in HK, so she wanted to go DisneySea this time. I'm abit skeptical about rollercoasters, is still bearable right? Too fast I scare I pee in pants. laugh.gif

Just wondering, where you guys got your tickets? I'm planning on buying it from klook. Wanna see if there's any other ways to get it cheaper..

Dont think you need to waste money buying water proof shoes unless you will use it again. Besides waterproof, you also have to make sure its a bit spiky so that you wont fall down when they snow begin to melt and pavements becomes slippery. But its up to you.

As far as I know Disney tickets are all standard price where ever you buy. Only place I know of that you can buy it cheaper are those ticket shops in Japan. These shops will buy tickets from people who are unable to make it and then resell it at a cheaper rate. It really depends if there are sellers.

definitely bearable
its not those roller coaster at ocean park HK
buy from the site itself, all theme park at japan...disneyland, disneysea, universal studio osaka...all the same price
buying from site like klook won't differ much at all, only like RM2-3 difference and no extra free things
so buy from official site for better guarantee

It's always a balance between convenience (of not lugging around a lot of gear) and quality of the photos you get. In the end you need to ownself decide where to put that balance lol. Anyway for example this photo of me and my wife (that time was GF) was taken with a tripod and DSLR with wide angle lens.

[edit] if you decide not to lug around a tripod (because it really is VERY annoying to travel with one), you can consider using those gorilllapod instead

Nice pic! That's the kind of picture my gf been dying to take! But bad I ain't no saint, don't know which to compromise..Thanks for the link, definitely will look into it. notworthy.gif

I actually bought this for the trip and now I've come to regret it cause it's maximum height is only until 46.5cm. Too low IMO. Don't know if I should just get a budget tripod for this trip. hmm.gif

Guys, after arriving at Kawaguchi station, any other form of transportation other than omni/retro bus? As I'm going there on day trip, the two day pass macam not worth.. hmm.gif

Hi everyone,
As per above pic from hyperdia, i got question about the transit at tenjinbashisuji 6chome station. The grey arrow means direct train/no need change train right?

so where do i pay the 240 yen? do i need to get down from the train and purchase another ticket at tenjinbashisuji 6chome station and get back to the same train?
or
pay whole 640 yen at karasuma station?

DSLR and tripod too heavy
thats why now i chose something in between
a mirrorless(sony) camera with a good lens with gorilla pod
super duper small and light(except the lens) and shoot very good quality photos
i dnt trust my HP for photos at all

U have 2 transfer there. Need to pay twice. Since 2 different train company. (Kyoto Line) KARASUMA > AWAJI (change to Senri Line) AWAJI to TENJIMBASHISUJIROKUCHOME. Out from the gate, u have to pay ¥400 for all this. Then from TENJIMBASHISUJIROKUCHOME take Osaka City Subway Sakaisuji Line to NIPPOMBASHI for another ¥240.

No really direct. U need to transfer line, then tag out, tag in again. Grey line for 1 fare is because u're using the same company line.

Instead of using that route, try using this one. No transfer at AWAJI.

Attached Image

U have few choices when using hyperdia. Choose the easiest one.

Guys just a quick question, I'm going Tokyo in the next few days. As hotel and flight tickets has been taken care of, I just need to prepare cash for spending there.

Is RM 3000 enough? I can put the rest on card. Mostly will be roaming around Tokyo with the exception of one day going to Gotemba Outlet.

Thank you.

Around 76k yen. Yeah I'll charge the rest to my card whenever possible.

It's 5 days 4 nights but arrival in Tokyo is late at night, and by the time reach hotel will be around midnight. So 1st day is technically spent on travelling.
