 MY Server renewal, ViP list is Finalised - 30slot server.

As for those who came to the BBQ the other day, MY server is coming to an end pretty soon and we are planning to renew our subscription with fragnetics!

To keep things short, Fragnetics have given us 2 option's on the renewal.

Option 1
$8SGD per/slot, VIP status will work on all FRAGNETICS server. We still keep the naming rights, admin rights, our banner, and all other previous rights.

The good thing with option 1 is, they still offer us the promo price of 8SGD, and your VIP status will work on all servers *edit so will theirs, vice versa

Option 2
$10 SGD per/slot, and all other rights as to before. Difference is price is higher, but the vip slot will only work on our server.

One of the reason best to go for option 1 is because ive seen statistical data, that shows only 5% of VIP's play on our server everyday, and the other 95% are from HK,TW etc.

*edit, its not which option you are choosing FOR your VIP slot, but what our options are to renew the server.

but do we get the same status on other servers?
if yes, then its best to limit the number of ppl this time.
no more 43 or 39 or whatever.
ie. if we're gonna get a 42 slot server, then only 42 ppl max.

Again "Yes.. IF we follow the first options. VIP for both Fragnetics server and MY server". Payment can be done via Bank transfer or online banking.

Remember The server price for 40 players: 40 x 8 SGD = 320 SGD per month, we are going for the 3 months so: 320 SGD x 3 = 980 SGD. So the ammount that we have to pay each person still unknown until we get the full list of poeple who are willing to participate. we could pay less if the amount of people the same as the last time.

ok since VIP status will work across all servers, then i'm in.
since i hardly play on the malaysian server much anyway, rather go EASG conquest nowadays.

but of cos there has to be a limit, only 42 ppl for a 42 slot server.
unless you can find a good way to distribute say 47 VIP slots when you're only paying for 42 tongue.gif

so SGD8 for 3 months, current exchange rate is 2.30 - 2.31 depending where you wanna buy.
so basically RM55/3 months.

again, answer me this.
say we got a 32 slot server, means we got 32 reserve slots that can be used across all fragnetics servers.
then how are you gonna distribute 32 slots if we get say 37 ppl?

if you're gonna keep on waiting, i rather just go apply for a fragnetics reserve slot myself, dont care if its $2 more.

the last around we had 47 or 45 people on 42 slots, only 5% of that are playing on our server everyday. I have already mentioned the statistics, so we dotn have to worry about it no more, if you want 32 slots, but we have 37, its ok... from the statistics, only 5% plays anyways.

If you want to go over to fragnetics by all means go, its not about getting a slot for yourself everdying a server for us here in Malaysia for the Malaysian Battlefield community.

you guys sure you want to go ahead with just 31 people on a 32 slot server?

At this point we dotn have enough this time around... seems like alot dont want to renew sad.gif, its a better offer than before.

32 slot server would cost at least Rm19 a month per/person.That's about Rm57 total.

Seriously my rig won't do any good in a 42 slot server, especially in Titan mode.

guys im moving to a new place, landlord is a pain in the ass. Only gave like 3 days notice, so im seriously busy moving stuffs. Ill be in my new place by monday, and i dont have internet connection there atm, but ill try to come online using GPRS, hopefully doesnt blow a hole in my wallet.

Other than that, im also quite worried if we can get the payment done before 13th, ill sort some things out with fragnetics, maybe ask for a extension or something.

Now, regarding our soon-to-be renewed server. Is it gonna be a 32p or 40p server? Fragnetics Revised Slot Programme shows that our server is 40p.

Well, it doesn't really matter for me whether its a 40p or 32p server but, if the server changes the map rotation into 32p conquest maps, the server VIP algorithm thing didn't work.
What i mean by this is that VIPs too can't join the server if the server is full (defeating the purpose of having VIP status).
But then, the server status shows 32/42p, that means somehow it was capped to 32p instead of 40p (for the conquest maps).

So the problems are, it changes from 32p from 40p during conquest map rotation, and during this time (conquest mode), VIP slots don't work.

from what i understand, the VIP algorithm on conquest will work if its a 30 slot server.
so 30/32.

anything more, it will have to be set as a 48 slot for conquest so it will work.
that is the only way to have the algorithm work right now on conquest, but since we didnt pay for a 48 slot, too bad.

right now with 32 ppl paying, it has to be a 32/34 slot, which again i guess the algorithm will not work.

Aha! I knew xavier was gay brows.gif ... I got a prob here, the current server that we're running seems to hahve a ping problem with me, giving me 200+ms even though other fragnetics servers are around 50~100ms. Anyone knows why? Will this happen in the future server? hmm.gif

VOIP always on. Sometime bug happens so only when the server restart the VOIP bug fix.

I can't seems to play 2142 like usual now..
The connection to all aussie server are now dead ( 1000+ ping) and SG server is giving me 100++ crappy ping..

Anyone care to give some advices?

you can still pay to fragnetics yourself for a reserve slot that works across 8 servers.
SGD10/month, SGD25/3 months, longer periods more discount.

Danieloo, your few days too late, if you had come earlier, we would have 32 slots lol. anyways, if you are still interested in being a VIP you would have to go straight to Fragnetics and apply it there directly.

dont worry, i dont think your breaking any. The podding glitch was argued all over ea forums on if it is an exploit and is it a bannable offense, so no one knows because ea has not oficially mentioned anything.

Now 1.20 has just been released, and it states there in the changelog that PODDING GLITCH is fixed so that players wont be able to fly across the map.

I think that says it all that podding across the map is counted as an exploit. Fragnetics has also enforced that rule since 1.20 came out.

Admin? yeah, maybe you could replace an inactive admin tongue.gif, ill fire him real soon. haha..

Though EA did state that it is up to the server to determine whether or not to outlaw it. So I guess just "edging" the pod a bit to "avoid being beacon camped" is a-okay? tongue.gif

My suggestion-

1)Pod Flying Around - I'm totally against it coz supposely we play the game fair and square.If all of us know how to do it......i think it shouldn't be a problem but most of us(non-exploiters) didnt know how to do it.

2)Admin?.Yes...it is time to appoint a new admin as the current admin dunno where he goes.. tongue.gif

you shoundt be able to surf across the map now since they patched it an labled it as an exploit.

So any other means of surfing around the map with the pod is an exploit.

what i meant by pod exploit is: -
  • Using the pod to "Surf"/ Fly across the map, ridiculously


Any other methods of smart-podding may or may not be an exploit, depending on the situation.

You have nothing to worry if you dont fly across the map.
