Is it a trend now for audio shops to post many models online and when go there to the shop, say

"Haiya boss, baru habis jual, baru semalam habis jual, u ambik ini model mau ka? Lagi latest and better"

Not once, not twice but many times ive encountered this. Thats why i always call first. Especially in mudah. Dirt cheap prices, good branded models, call then different story

They are smart, they put the cheapest price there, of course not yet include GST, not yet include installation.

Anywhere i can get Pioneer AVH-X2850BT the cheapest in KL area? Max automart in gombak advertised RM1010, but as usual with the no stock and sold out story. Anywhere else reliable to recommend?



The reason i like this player cause it plays spotify, steering control, plays flv flac mp4 mp3 etc. Good sound quality and also pioneer has reputation for donkey years in quality

u can try CN Audio located in Shah Alam Seksyen 9, or Etoni Car Audio in KL.. both is reputable acc shop.. u can search them in FB too..

These pioneer sets has 2 types of warranty. One is local warranty and another is thailand warranty although both units are made in thailand.

Thailand warranty - 2 years

Malaysian warranty - 1 year

Any say on this?

Correct me if I'm wrong.. but I remember about some pioneer products get 3 yrs warranty like that.. that is depending on seasonal..

that was back in 2014 during the promotional period . standard is 1 year only

Should i just go for the 2 years Thailand set instead of the 1 year malaysian warranty set? Its the same unit but just the warranty is based either locally or thailand. DL also providing 1 to 1 exchange if faulty within a month and if more than that, they will send to thailand for warranty claim and deliver back to us once repaired. The price has no GST, and far cheaper as well compared to malaysian set.

better choose the easier one.. even longer period but u have hard time to send also no use.. different case if both are convenient for u

i got the player from UMW toyota also is 1 year warranty.. the price is freaking expensive at rm3k+ for pioneer brand too.. i can only buy it because its included with my new car loan

just fyi pioneer malaysia do not state whether it's 1 or 2 or 3. but just in case u were to get 1 with a good connection locally, claim warranty for it after 1 years is as easy as abc.

if you were to buy a peace of mind and better/faster after sales service, pay the extra. wan to buy the cheapest, then forget about after sales. no 1 gonna service you nicely if they are not being paid. make sense?

Gotta agree with Howie on this. The "pricier" tag at some retailers comes with the added advantage of after sales services and warranty claims.

The ones that goes for cheaper than retail prices usually gives you good value initially but probably sucks big time when it comes to after sales services and warranty claims.

When it comes to Electronics it's best to go with retailers who have been around the circuit with good reputation and relationship with the distributors.

Again...just some 2.6B from a small player in the car audio world. : )

Most players are 1 yr warranty as usual.. but I did recall that some players were sold by pioneer had extra years warranty.. maybe they don't do it now days I suppose

Pioneer did give 3 years official warranty, back in 2014 promotion for AVH models. Then now back to normal 1 year warranty already.

IM gonna stick with the AVH-X5850BT model cause it has everything i require and its 7 inch screen with motorized eject for DVD insertion
