Hi Junshern,
Pitta is the image of a disciple of Buddha covering his face with his hands to seek peace and blissfulness (see no evil). This form of amulet has a history exceeding a thousand years. Variation to this form of amulet include more than two hands, some with additional two to four hands to cover the ears (hear no evil) and/or the lower body (no sexual misconduct). The two hand version is called Pitta Mahalap while versions with more than two hands are called Pitta Maha Ud.

Generally, Pitta amulets are associated with protection from harm and evil. However, many are not aware that Pitta Mahalap amulets are also often associated with bringing fortune. Pitta Maha Ud amulets places additional emphasis on the aspect of safety, protection from harm and evil. Hope that helps. smile.gif

Nice explanations friend.I have heard from rumours that Pitta might help in physical fights,is that true?
*
I think that refers to Pitda Maha Ud or they call it Pakawan (Pitda with more than 2 hands). Becoz this version of Pitda is strongly associated to protection from harm, invulnerability, people have associated it with fighting. It helps in fighting coz it provides protection but it does not cause a person to like fighting as many have misunderstood. Think about it rationally, where got masters wanna make amulet that after devotee wear it, they like to fight. Is it not then a sin to the master?

The power of amulet comes from the wishes, i.e., protection from harm, loving kindness, smooth endeavour, luck made by the master during its consecration. If the master is a true Buddha's diciple, keeping his precepts and practicing Dhamma, he will be respected by all beings, celestrial or terrestrial. The deva king has promised the Buddha that he will help all beings who follow the Lord's teaching. Thus when the master wishes for peace, protection, etc for the bearer of his amulets, those wishes will be granted. Of course, the extent of the effect will also depend on the devotees own karma and doing. That's my opinion and what I have learned, pardon me if there's any shortcoming.

Very hard to say also if direct frm temple,..If famous temple, also got repump/reissue amulets..My experience of this incident in Wat Rakhang, Bangkok and Wat Tat Noi (Porthan Kai) in Nakhon Si Thammarat..But if normal/affordable amulet, very easy to distinguish in the eyes of a kammakan (certified amulet judge).

Of course, do u like Somdej or Palipinat. I rented personally frm the office of Wat Bowon Bangkok (the temple of the Supreme Patriach of Thailand, Sangkla Yang) in May 2009. Guarantee genuine and not expensive at all, less than RM100. PM me if u r interested..

Great, nice one..Thanx for sharing..Should be from chedi mai BKP based on the condition, but can be AC Toh's hand..Is it pim Sangkati?
One tips to share with all bro and sis, AC Toh's Somdej looks dry to the naked eye, but upon inspection with magnifying glass, it actually looks wet/moist!

Hope to share mine later on..Somdej is my fav, wear a BKP myself..I guess that makes us same gang..

Nang kwak or Sivali will be a good choice for girl, good for doing sales and relationship kinda thingy.
*
Hi sister secretass,
Bro Tohsan is right, really respect his knowledge..Sivali is a salesperson amulet..For opposite sex attraction, metta, persuasive talking ability and wealth, KB Krishna butterfly amulet is good..Dun worry abt salika or butterfly..If u look carefully at KB Krishna's butterfly amulet, it's actually a pair of salika that combines to look like a butterfly, altho he makes salika per se amulets..So, that solve the issue of salika or butterfly..Get both types of amulet, Sivali and butterfly, then u get what u r looking for..sales, good persuasive talking ability and opposite sex attraction..all for a girl wif such requirement..

But if u only want to have one amulet, then based on my experience, I suggest that u get a butterfly..for a lady with good persuasive talking ability, metta, opposite sex attraction, it would aid very much in doing sales and wealth follows..

Do call me if u need further assistance/clarification at 012-2477798..Afterall, I dun have all the details of yr situation. A more comprehensive, personal/confidential discussion would bring a much better recommendation..that's if u dun mind..I sincerely wanted to help, that's all..

Thanks for taking the efforts to share with us all.

Don't say of such, I'm just a novice collector. To me, I don't agree if an amulet's "better" than another. It's all in the mindfulness and in the good faith of the wearer. What's most important is that it brings us protection and to ride out the rough times.

I agree, Keschaiyoh Somdej are among the rarest to find in Malaysia..some say even rarer to find than WRK. I do have a very old (and worn-out) KCY in my collection. I hadn't have the time to take close-up pictures of it yet but I'll do so soon. smile.gif

TQ..TQ..for yr compliments..Waiting to see yr Somdej Ketchaiyo. My fren have one Somdej Ketchaiyo, dunno if he let go oredi or not..If not, I'll take pic and share later..
