Well, maybe the seller also dunno..coz old Somdej WRK very difficult to ID..We go on a "to the best of my knowledge" basis in dealing..Unless sciencetifically proven by carbon dating by drilling a small hole into the amulet..if the age of the material is abt 150 yrs +/-, then it should be consecrated by AC Toh himself..PM me yr phone number. Maybe we will drop by on our tour of Malaysia with Maha Chat..

Still remember sometime ago in Penang, verification of Somdej WRk with offer to exchange some luxury cars if original.......verifation fees is about RM80 per amulets, a lot of persons went there..i forget to follow up, dont know who got it.. tongue.gif

btw, may i know who is Maha Chat..?

There are plenty of old amulets that are blessed by Somdej Toh of WRK fame. It just that some dealer purposely say it is fake to protect the value of the old WRK batch.

The best verification is by holding it and feel the power. Of course, not many people can have such ability. Another way is to break it into half and see the interior. Of course, hardly anyone does this method

Break it into half and see the interior? How to see? Or what should one expect to find? Sorry, I'm new to amulets. smile.gif

Most expensive amulet are very old. Since most fake will want to replicate the original, they use poor material and coat the outer layer and make it like aged amulet.

Nobody got it, it's a hoax..They are looking for Somdej WRK 1st batch, BE 2356, only 4 made and 3 and a half remaining only. 1 is in the hand of the Royal family, 1 in the hand of ex-PM Thaksin, one broken into half and juz one dunno where is it's whereabout..Do u think it's in Malaysia?
Maha Chat/Porthan Chat is the abbot of Wat Molelimit, Pattani. He is the youngest person to be appointed as abbot of a temple in Pattani at age 31 and he already qualified to the rank Maha at age 29 (BE2541) and Porthan at age 32 (BE2544). The good master is highly skilled in Dharma, magical art from Thai, Khmer and Muslim tradition. Amongst other his master is from Cambodia and he is also the disciple of LP Thong, Wat Sampaucher.

Hmm, feeling the power by holding is good for barang/phi (ghost) but regular amulet, i am not sure as advise by a high monk. I opine no such need to break the amulet in half for testing sciencetifically.. Juz drill a small dental hole to get a sample of the material will be good enough for carbon testing of the age..it's too devastating/unnecesary to break such a valuable amulet for testing (if genuine). No owner would be willing to take such risk/devastation..

Dear collectors,

I have a mass collection of pendants and amulets ( thai ), it belongs to a friend of mine whose hubby has passed away.
He has left no cash for his widow and two daughters ( currently in primary and early secondary ).
So she is relieving her belated hubby collection for her children education.
If you see anything you like just email me at anyy1978@yahoo.com with the picture number eg. 723724.jpg ( with offers please )
After that i will consult seller and we can come to trade.

God bless you all :=)

Amulet that has been bless will have power. Those that are mass chanting power are stronger. Fake one will have none. I agree that it is not necessary to break or drill for samples just to verify.

As for young abbot, I do not have how they are qualified at such young age. Recently, I read that there is one 30++ years old abbot in Thailand have been disrobed and sent to jail for directing his assistant to kill his ex gf's lover.

Well bro..use yr wisdom and think abt it..I don't want to comment any further..1 in Royal family's hand, 1 with Thaksin, another 1 complete piece is in the muzeum, so only half a piece left, where is it? Can exchange BMW with half a piece if it is in Malaysia? Yr guess and opinion lah..

Hopefully bro, one day we can meet up with Maha Chat together..The Langkawi master in cave, I don't know him..maybe u can tell me his background..I am only familiar with great masters from Thailand..

Well..well..To help "enlighten”, at what age did the Buddha achieve enlightenment? 36, is it too young to be a Buddha?
With knowledge in the Buddhist teaching, the achievement of different individual differs even though they are at the same age in this lifetime because of their karma in previous life!
The 500 Bikkhus in Buddha’s time all achived at least the first stage of Arahanthood (Sotapanna) in their present lifetime..The 5 Lersi who used to be Buddha’s master during his cultivation all achieved enlightenment upon listening to the Budddha’s first sermon at an instance..How could this be/happen? Their cultivation in previous life has ripened for enlightenment in their present lifetime..
There are people of the same age who are billionaire while some struggle to survive?
Why?
Have u grasp the Dhammic truth by now? Look not at the surface but the inner/absolute Dharmmic truth..Have u understand not by now?
Sadhux3 for the Buddha, Dhamma and Sangha..

I am more concerned on how they appoint an abbot rather than choosing one that has been 'enlighten'. The news below is one abbot aged 24

Monk, novice defrocked, charged with murder
By THE NATION ON SUNDAY
CHIANG MAI

CHIANG MAI: -- Khruba Noi Arnawelo, an abbot at Payak Donkaew Temple, and a novice, Phra Amphon Aumkul, were charged yesterday over the murder of a 17-year-old vocational schoolboy - a slaying alleged sparked by jealous rage.

Following the shooting of Amornpan Chamnikrai, 17, at the temple entrance on Wednesday, the victim's girlfriend, identified as "Kwang" (not her real name), 19, told Doi Sa Ket police Amornpan came to pick her up after work. While they were passing the temple, a white Toyota car that had tailed them sped up and parked at the temple entrance. The assailants got out of the car and shot Amornpan.

Kwang admitted she dated Khruba Noi, now 24, but kept a distance after he became a monk. She said she had started seeing Amornpan two weeks prior to the shooting but the boy had been threatened by the monk to end the relationship with "Kwang".

Police investigators initially found that Khruba Noi called another girlfriend to pick them up and ordered Phra Amphon to shoot the victim.

Both Khruba Noi and Phra Amphon have been defrocked, although they deny any wrong-doing.

The monk was well-known due to his reputation as a fortune teller, and as a follower of the late Khruba Sriwichai, as well as meditating for seven days in a cave while not eating.

The front figure with lotus is LP Thuad, back sleeping Buddha. No. 2541 may be the year of manufacture, 12 years ago..This amulet is for protection, peace, metta and good luck, FYI.

This is a Jatukam Ramathep amulet, made in BE2550, Wat Phra Mahathat, Nakhon ST, but have forgotten the roon/batch name.
