recently my i found my favors lens Sony 55mm f 1.8 got fungus.
I already send to sony center they said cannot open the internal lens. need to replace the lens. so the quote me the new lens.
i hope someone here can help me with solution.

try sending it to places like YL maybe? this is the first time i've heard that a lens can't be opened to clean

Small price to pay for such a costly lens. How did the fungus infection start anyway?

lens can be clean. go to those professional photography shop and ask. last time i clean it less than rm100.

wonder how long was the fungus are? normally fungus can be clean unless the fungus was left toooooo long with it. And toooooo long fungus will start damage certain coating (which will no effect the IQ in anway).

so far the experiences i have, mostly is HAZE is able to clean. As haze tend to grow within the lens group.
