Battlefield 1 will take up over 42 GB of space on your hard drive, according to an image posted by NeoGAF user “Theorry.”

of cos dont forget thats at ultra.
if ppl reduce quality to medium, 8gb ram should definitely be sufficient.

I finished the first and second chapter of the single player campaign last night. Took me roughly 1 hour in each chapter on normal difficulty and I havnt found all the intel yet.

I'm running BF1 on high setting at 1080p on my MSI-GT62 2QD (gtx970m with 3gb vram and 8gb of ram) and it runs smoothly in single player.. Have not tried MP yet and from my experience with BF4, I might have to tone down the settings to get 60 fps.

btw, any ideas on how to enable the fps counter in BF1?

BF normally u either input the command into the console, or create a file called user.cfg in origins folder for game to read the console commands.
its been that way since the start of BF, i dont think it'll be any different for now.

Definitely, better than downloading 38gb. It's from Impulse Gaming, the descriptions on the box are all in german tho.
*
ah k, looks like i'll try drop by this week if they still got stock.

Which is why I want to know if this recurs. If it does, then I can allocate budget for an additional 8 or 16 gigs of RAM... before I buy the game.  blush.gif
*
varies alot.
i seen some ppl say theirs use 5gb...another 7gb...another 13gb.
my clanmate says 8gb...

the ram doesnt help much with ur FPS anyway...more for loading times.
but if u only have 8gb and its eating into ur page files etc...then obviously u need more ram...or try to optimize ur PC first.

k la, i checked with more clanmates.
1 said 6gb...another said between 5-7gb.
looks like my 8gb ram is doable.

Hmm. How? On fresh startup ram is only up to about 20-30%. Battlefield 4 also don't take up as much ram.

And with regards to FPS, it does affect. When it has gone up to max, it tends to spike. From 80 to 0 and sometimes freezes especially during spawn.
*
i never had spikes from lack of ram before.
just extremely slow loading.

if ur getting spikes, its probably a proc bottleneck.

when will there be SG server ?
*
when someone rich enough decides to rent from EA.
prices increased like 25% from BF4.
and i dont think u get full admin control unlike before.

wait..so there's no 3rd party dedicated server like previous BF?  blink.gif
damn i had to cancel my plan to buy this game if they do not support 3rd party dedicated server  doh.gif
*
ya none.
this is also part of EA fighting back against those who have always done their own servers with their own rules...like no explosives, pistols only etc etc...all of which technically are not allowed in ranked mode.

but i guess have to wait til nov start when the rental launches...then can only see what is really available etc.

I'm looking into renting but would be great if someone else wants to chip in. Of course those who do will get admin access
*
dunno whats available yet.
so far all i gather is there will be no rcon access.
there could still be full admin access, but web based...still remains to be seen.

and its better for someone to just rent, then start selling 'vip' slots...
later have 30 admins really gg...
