Hmm, got a call from TM offering 50Mbps for RM179, but it feels very weird/dodgy.

First of all, I am an existing 5Mbps user, and TM already upgraded my Unifi to 10Mbps for free.

Now they are offering 50Mbps for RM179, but I have to subscribe/register as a new user.

Also, the 50Mbps will only kick in on 1st of January 2017, before that I will get only 30Mbps.

To get this offer, I also have to cancel my existing 5Mbps subscription by myself.

Offer ends today.

Is anyone getting a similar call ?

This indirectly tells that those on 30Mbps may get 50Mbps when January comes. icon_idea.gif
It doesn't matter. It is capped by TM. I have used few different routers and it is still 28Mbps, used to get 33Mbps.

I'm not too familiar with the Budget 2017, haven read it thoroughly.

So is the price drop that we see on Unifi's website a result from the Budget ? 199 -> 179 (30Mbps), 249 -> 229 (50Mbps) ?

RM 179 for 30Mbps and will be upgraded to 50MBps next year's 1st Jan (if they honour their words).

Yes, you are right. The main point here is "If they honour their word".

If you read the post correctly, it will be 30Mbps for now and only will be upgraded to 50Mbps on 1st Jan.

What is the proper way to enable ipv6 in Archer C5 v2 ?

I tried pressing the connect button, but it just won't work. I tried using SLAAC as well, but it wouldn't work.

Anyone out there with experience can help out?

ipv6 was much easier to config on Asus. wink.gif

Above is my C5 ipv6 setting.

Thank you, I did try SLAAC before, turns out you need to reboot the router for it to take effect.

it seems like the C5 router TM provided is not using an official firmware, but rather a custom one. I can't change anything related to VLAN.

I have a rather basic question, the router that TM provided (C5), is it mine ? can I flash it to some other firmware ? Do I have to return the router back to TM when I cancel my Unifi ?

I think I might have been scammed by TM.

I upgrade to 30Mbps via Phone.

Now the bill came, and they are charging me RM 254.85 instead of RM179 + 6%.

Attached Image

The additional charges is from HyppTV.... Is it possible to stop this recurring charges or am I screwed ? cry.gif

Also, look at the way TM is charging, everything feels so sketchy.. ohmy.gif

EDIT: Also, isn't the Ruby Package supposed to be in the RM179 package ? I explicity agreed to the RM179 deal over the phone...
