QUOTE(Fantasia @ Oct 11 2016, 07:00 PM) guys, my unifi line is at my second floor. however my family find it inconvenient that they need to go to upstairs just to charge the cordless phone (yes, i know it's not very inconvenient actually but they just prefer have the phone downstairs). may i know is it possible to pull another phone line from the pole outside my house or i have no choice but to relocate everything from upstairs? i prefer the modem to stay upstairs cause it will be easier for me to access to Buy same model cordless phone, can use as charger. You can even connect both to same base so both can use up and down.. Can get at garage sales.

QUOTE(Fantasia @ Oct 12 2016, 06:16 PM) yes, i stay in landed property. i have still have my previous phone number but we only use it to receive call cause the new phone number from unifi package come with free call. what do u mean phone socket? i snapped a photo here for u to see what is mycurrent unifi setup. [attachmentid=7752495] do u mean i need to change the thing i squared in red into the 1 with 4 ports? my current 1 has 3 ports. good idea!! but i need to buy 2 cordless phones cause we dont like the motorola that TM gave us. reagrding ur second point, I dont get it would u mind to elaborate on it further? If you want to buy new 1, than buy the model with 2 handset no need to configure anything. What I mean is, you buy another cordless call it B. Existing is A. A is connected to unifi BTU. B is not connected to anything. You just want to use as a charger. Instead you put A handset into B charger (base) you can configure B to connect to A base. So both can make/receive a call.

QUOTE(qwan1101 @ Oct 13 2016, 10:44 AM) Correct me if i'm wrong... the original unifi phone (PHONE A)is used to make call downstairs, the new phone (phone B) can receive call. using the same unifi phone number? Both phone using the same unifi number..? Is that possible? Yes. DECT phone can connect up to 6 handset... Some model even can use to call each other. But only can use 1 at the same time.. Like normal phone split by splitter.. Both will ring, any one can answer. But for DECT I not sure is both pickup both can hear/talk or only the 1st one. Last time I do use 2 motorola dect that originally come with unifi.
