Before we talk about the 2 years later thing, let's see how things change first in 3 months time. Cakap je senang, but implementation kosong.

Keyword here is that the speed increase this Jan is not indicative of double the speed. TM can give you extra 5mbps if you are on a 30mbps line, that's not double. But then double that speed to 70mbps in 2 years time, again that means nothing.

From the slide, it seems no.

But make enough noise and there is a slight chance that they might. The upgrade in speed is not set in stone yet btw, they just have a roadmap but they don't actually have specific confirmed upgrade speeds for each tier.

Lol it would make no shit sense at all if TM doesn't upgrade current pro 100 users or lower the price for 100 users.

I mean if ADV 50 users get a free upgrade to pro 100, but pay RM50 less than pro 100 users, then wtf are the current pro 100 users paying extra for actually? Might as well just cancel the line and re-apply, even if that means paying a penalty. doh.gif

Effin stupid if it's true that pro 100 users get nothing, especially more so for biz users (who pays even more).

Still don't quite understand why 100mbps users will be shafted then?

If 50mbps users gets free upgrade to 100mbps but pay the same price they are paying for now, then wtf are 100mbps users paying an extra for in 2017?
And also Biz users get nothing? Dafuq?

Better to cancel today and apply again 2 days later. Damn stupid this TM. Penalty then penalty, still end up saving more over the long run. doh.gif

And.. Apparently there is a small clause with this free upgrade exercise. Those who has received any kind of upgrade in 2016 prior to this free upgrade "promo" are not eligible for the speed increase in 2017.

Yup, so if any of you got a free upgrade from vip5 or whatever to advance 30, something along those lines, you aren't eligible for anything else. That's what the customer service is telling me.

All Unifi pro 100 users need to go lodge MCMC reports. Then bombard their twitter and FB.

Wtf do they mean by lowest price per megabit? Come 2017, 50mbps eligible for free upgrade to 100mbps will be paying much less than current 100mbps users. No matter how they put it, they make no shit sense either way. Already submitted my termination application for both my office and house biz pro lines. Penalty so what?

Already complained. Their usual response is: "please wait for further info regarding the free upgrade info". Lmao, 3 weeks till the end of 2016 and they still don't have concrete plans kah? Wonder what kind of bullshit 101 classes these customer service people take. doh.gif

My next move is to send in the termination forms and report to MCMC.

Confirm water fish. Because the amount of 100mbps users (no matter residential or biz) are such a minority, they can just diam-diam until eventually no on makes anymore noise. Different from the 30mbps users which forms the majority of their customer base.

But too bad, they're messing with the wrong group of people.
