haih. TM so damn useless la.

because of them I cant work from home.

Relocate to new house. previously using unifi. went to tmpoint they said new address no unifi, the highest they can offer was the 8mbps. so I agree to terminate unifi and apply for the streamyx.

Two days after that, technician called me and told me 8 mbps was available but not stable, have problem with their port box blablabla , I told him just ask tm to fix la, start to pissed off already, then the guy said only can install 4mbps but need to resubmit back into the system, wait another 2 days then i received sms stating NO INFRA available at my premise. bloody helllllll.

from unifi , down to 8mbps , kick down to 4mbps and now helll no port available.

its freaking SETIA ALAM FFS! dammit.

anybody got solutions ?

I have the same problem too, and that's in Sungai Buloh, Selangor. The worst part is they kept referring to the developer because the developer kept stalling in installing the infrastructure.

We do not have Unifi nor Streamyx for almost 2 years. Right now I heard they are attempting to install the cables, so hope we can get it at Jan 2017. smile.gif

Here is the story from one of our residents: No phone lines in residential area in Sungai Buloh (FMT)

Damn, I hope they can get to fix that problem soon! You can keep calling TM to expand the boxes too.

Me and the other ppl in our residence still have to make do with the wireless data connection. Wished they had installed the infrastructure earlier! bangwall.gif

I blame TM for this..no co-ordination between related departments. They should have determine first the demand and supply thoroughly. My house, the TM box is right behind , I can see there are about 20 ports but only 8 are used..four house across, there is another box..what a waste

Guys, need some advice here. Since everyone said that the UniFi router given by TM was not good enough, I have ordered a TP-Link Archer C7 router for RM380+ before the installation. It turns out that the router given by TM is now TP-Link Archer C5. Should I return the C7 and get a refund or keep and use the C7 instead? Anyone experiencing any issues with the C5 given by TM?

Any recommended router for budget less than 200. I'm barely getting enough speed with the TM router.

C5 enough already. Im using C5 right now. So far so good & really satisfied. C7 got extra features (not a requirement for ordinary people just like me) & extra range signal.

C/P: IPv6 is the Internet's next-generation protocol, designed to replace the current Internet Protocol, IP Version 4. In order to communicate over the Internet, computers and other devices must have sender and receiver addresses. These numeric addresses are known as Internet Protocol addresses. The main advantage of IPv6 over IPv4 is its larger address space. The length of an IPv6 address is 128 bits, compared with 32 bits in IPv4. The address space therefore has 2128 or approximately 3.4×1038 addresses.

Yeap, 28mbps after installation. Enable disable ipv6 also same. IMO, I suggest u to make speedtest using TM Speedtest. TM Speedtest also using oklaa speedtest application and it host on their site. So for me its more accurate compare using standard oklaa speedtest that we normaly choose server location. Before, tm speedtest really bad but now ok.

My speedtest shows around 32mbps but sometimes it's not stable and it goes around 15-25mbps. Not sure if it's normal. Btw I have problem connecting to my 5GHz band on my C5. It shows "Unable to connect". Do you have this problem?

To run speedtest, better use PC connected to router through LAN cable. Close all application that using internet (u can see in windows task manager>network which apps using internet) & perhaps close down temporary AV & FW. Other way, run windows in safe mode with network. In router, close wifi signal to avoid other device connected to router via wifi. Then make a test.

When u run speedtest, make sure in the begining, got spikes (can reach 35-40mbps) then stable at certain speed like full speed @ 30mbps or 28mbps and then consistant flat untill the end. Spikes above ur subscription speed indicate that tm already open ur bandwidth wider than subscribed speed. If got bandwidth capped issue, u cant get spikes at all.

Rgding using 5Ghz band, i have no issue but FYI, 5GHz has a shorter range compared with 2.4GHz, the 2.4GHz frequency is way more crowded than 5GHz, devices on 2.4GHz suffer much more interference than the ones on 5GHz, fewer devices are capable of using the 5GHz channel than the 2.4GHz channel.

Any call from TM yet? Or how long TM will call up for further information since the TM online registration process doesn't take up much info of us.
