HI guys,

FYI, I had just bought my Samsung A9 Pro and feel like changing to Mi Max 128GB

(3) What's the user experiences on this phone? Disappointed? Acceptable? Satisfied? Very happy?

*
For me it was the great battery life with solid body.
Yup, fingerprint works great.
Display, network coverage quite okay.
Camera is typical xiaomi standard, but low light condition is not my cup of tea.
The screen is 2.5D so it’s a bit curve on both side.
Using normal tempered glass will create halo effect on left & right side of the screen.

Mi Max deosn't have curved edges
Only Mi Max 3GB RAM / 32GB Capacity has local warranty. The rest is imported unit
You can get Mi Max Prime from DirectD
Like you, I also came from Galaxy Note 3
Overall quite happy with my Mi Max. The fingerprint unlock is AWESOME thumbsup.gif
I also have Mi Note Pro
But I will be selling both of my Mi Max & Mi Note Pro now to buy Mi Note 2 that will be released tomorrow, getting the highest spec
In GSMArena, they state that Mi Max can support a 256GB MicroSD

Go to DirectD and have a feel of Mi Max in your hand
Then you can make a decision

I didn't buy the Mi Max for myself, I bought it as a birthday present for my dad as his Galaxy Note 3 is too old already
But he politely decline it because the screen is too big for him then my step mother bought him a Galaxy Note5

Truth be told, anyone who have ever used phones with Snapdragon 8** CPU can actually see installing & loading an app is a tad slow on phones with Snapdragon 6*** CPU. But it's barely noticeable

I compared Mi Max & Mi Note Pro directly and Mi Note Pro is definitely faster
Here's hoping the Mi Note 2 will be even better

My Galaxy Note 3 cannot be used in the comparison because it's using CyanogenMod, so it's rather unfair to put it in the comparison laugh.gif

PS: All Mi Max is plagued with the intermittent WiFi disconnection. MIUI v8 doesn't fix this
You can't really see it though, you'll have to look at your wireless router system log to actually see the "disconnections"
I'm not the only 1 who had this issue, people globally is complaining about this in the MIUI forum
The "disconnections" is only about a 1 ~ 2 seconds though unsure.gif

Why would you even wish to change from a better A9 Pro to this MiMax ?
The only significant advantage of the MiMax over the A9 Pro is its larger display of 6.4 inch and choice of 32GB, 64GB or 128GB internal storage
I would say A9 Pro had its advantage on its camera, display quality, audio, battery life over the Mi Max. Unless you are looking at the 2 points I had listed you will end up dissapointed in the MiMax
I had used both phones before

No, it's the other way round. People who have problem are the ones need to provide the log.

It could just be the system setting such that it is set to disconnect after certain amount of inactivity to conserve battery life.

LOL, I'm the one who openly admit that I have this issue while you mention that you never experience this
I would be glad to provide a screenshot once I'm back at home to prove this, I have nothing to hide because it's the truth icon_idea.gif

It's the "Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep" & it has been on "Always" since the first day I bought the phone

well, I was using Note 3. After having bought A9 pro, I am disappointed for many things;

(1) Damn heavy
(2) stupid curve a bit at the edge causing big problems with screen protector
(3) Video recording no more basic 4k. I downloaded 3rd party software and still stuck at the ancient 1080p
(4) No status LED indicator. I do not know phone fully charged, got msg or not...
(5) kedekut built in 32GB memory. My applications always install in built in.. And use card for media. Big limitation.

Here's the screenshot of my wireless router system log
Had the same issue with several routers such as ASUS RT-AC68U, Huawei WS880 & TP-Link Archer C9
You can only find this issue by checking in your wireless router system log, as you won't see the disconnection on your Mi Max as the disconnection is only temporary for about 1 ~ 2 seconds

PS: If you think I'm making this up, there is absolutely no reason for me to do that, as I've said earlier, Mi Max is a great phone except for this
