problem with FF bro is everything else is not good enough especially if you pixel peep/crop.
i know bcs my FF buddies are constantly rubbing their pic IQ in my face.
lucky got other buddies using fuji XT series keeping them quiet for now. 

m43 we relaks je....but get to laugh at them when their shoulder get tired. 

I am having A7II and 2 Sony Prime lenses only. Their lenses too expensive, can’t really afford. Then I bought few Canon FD lenses with adaptor. IQ and shallow DOF is very good but still heavy and expensive lenses.

So at the end, I only use M43 while having A7II in dry box all the time.

Cam provide some comparisons in terms if price?

Speaking purely from a cost perspective, I don't think used m43 lenses are more expensive than what you mentioned. Prime lenses costs less than 1k as well, and 9-18mm costs around RM 1.2k, which is more affordable than Canon 17-40 though 8t may not be a fair comparison with Canon being weather sealed and all.

The prices lool about the same to me if you ask me, but with m43, you get superb image stabilization. For the same amount of money paid, I think having a smaller kit would make more sense no? Why lug around excess weight?

Agreed that at same ISO, noise will definitely be worse on m43. But consider this, so get lesser noise, the aperture needs to open larger for the same shutter speed (since you're shooting for indoor events, I believe the bottle neck should be shutter speed). Using a smaller f-stop means shallower DoF, which for me makes shooting a group of peoole more difficult as some of their faces may not be in focus. I just shot a corporate event today, and I actually find myself stopping down to f2.8 or f3.2 to shoot. Cap the ISO at 1600/800 and I find the results good.

Shooting indoors with flash negates most of the m43 problems if you ask me. In fact, deeper DoF is definitely preferred if you don't want your photos to turn into a bokeh fest.

Also, if you're doing paid shoots, why are you worried about costs? It is your tool to make money.

DSLR battery life is undeniable.
go out the whole day shooting and night and still have 50% battery life left provided you shoot with the viewfinder that is.
no mirrorless can match that.
but for video there is no advantage in battery life there.

low light m43 is no match for FF that is a fact. but if you do not pixel peep/crop smaller sensors can give surprisingly good results in low light.

one advantage of using old gears is you can build up your skills.
give a noob a7iii on auto setting and he can take clear, sharp pictures most of the time.
