So happened passed by Sunway Pyramid outlet today, recall so many discussed the accessories here so just went in to ask them. I asked them if I don't return all accessories can or not, then one guy asked me hilang all ah. I said no, I said I understand from Samsung that they allow if we don't return all the accessories. I asked him back, if Samsung doesn't need it, why do you need from us. I very direct, told him I didn't lost it, just that if Samsung allows that, I would rather keep the accessories as spare especially the charger.
He then asked around, then told me should be ok. I told him I will look for him on 29th haha.

Whoever call me cheapskate or whatever I don't care. I'm not robbing, not lying, not cheating, not stealing. I'm direct upfront with them, if Samsung allows, then just let us have those. If Samsung disallow, then of course it's fair for all to return and nothing to argue, as I'm already happy with them changing the phone.

My main concern is, how Samsung going to track if we actually return? I think someone posted there's a form the shops shall tick if users return. The shops can actually just simply tick most customers don't return, and what are they going to do with the accessories? Will they return to Samsung? I doubt so. Maybe for their staffs to use or to resell at LYN lol. Yeah none of my business, but I do not want these shops to take advantage of that too (yes, I admit I also want the accessories, something extra, who doesn't want it)

That day I posted some issues with Smart Switch where the backup to PC failed. I tried it on 3 PC before managed to backup. Asked Samsung gave me some crap advice. PC 1 was on a windows 10, failed (tried few times). Then iMac also failed (also tried few times). Then tried PC 3 also Windows 10 then successful. Really not sure what's happening to Smart Switch so hard to backup.

Agree, just be honest to them, ask them straight can we keep the accessories since we were told by Samsung that we're allowed. If more desperate just say you lost everything.

Hi all, no need to lie or do anything funny, just tell the store straight that you want to keep the accessories as allowed by Samsung. As some has already confirmed this, I also call Samsung and had a live chat with them too, we can opt not to return. The store cannot remove the accessories from the new phone to replace whatever we didn't return. Also as mentioned, confirmed by Sunway branch too. We can keep the old accessories.

No need fight with them, if they really disallow, just move on. No need fight over small matter.

Nothing to argue la, those who want to return all accessories, just do it. Those who want to keep it, try your luck. As for me, I'll keep it as the branch already told me that I can do so.

To make life easy for everyone, I just called another Samsung shop (sorry better not to mention which outlet), which I know them very well personally. This is a confirmed instruction from Samsung - all stores were told to ask customer to bring full set to the shop, but during exchange, they will return all accessories to you. I remember someone mentioned this before, and it's true. They are NOT SUPPOSED to keep your accessories. They shop told me, if they refuse to give you the accessories, question them. Again, I repeat, they are NOT SUPPOSED to keep the accessories. As for the Spen, no instruction given, but I think that's good enough la, you can politely ask about the Spen if you want, but if they so no, then no need argue la, you already have all the accessories for free. Hope this once and for all give a clear direction to everyone who are still arguing over this matter

I'm not sure, I also want to find out for my sister because she bought from Maxis. Maxis is quite firm must return all. But again, the shop told me Samsung ask them to inform customers to bring everything, then during exchange only return to customers all the accessories. I not sure why such stupid move, must bring then take back. He say he also not sure. But I strongly believe instruction should be the same, all dealers including telco should not keep the accessories. Since this is allowed by Samsung, then no more argument who is cheapskate or whatever. Everyone should entitle to have the accessories.
If they disallow, then I feel you should reason out with them because this is already instruction from Samsung to them

IMO yes, of course I didn't go up to the extend to ask/ list down what are considered accessories. As far as I understand, they will just take the phone and box. That's it. And as mentioned, they are also unsure about Spen, you can try your luck

I also don't get it, they assume everyone needs to transfer on the spot. Yes, good that they provide this service, but why can't they just allot like 2 or 3 staffs to handle express lane for those who just need to change the phone without the need to transfer the data

Some of them just being a little sarcastic, yeah to certain extend provoking. But reading through many of the previous post, many has been called cheapskate, retarded, etc. No one deserve to be called that, considering that we not only want to keep the accessories ourselves but we're sharing here hoping that those (I believe many) who wants to keep the accessories can do so. We spent time calling and live chat with Samsung, and I even called one shop I'm familiar with to confirm that and share it out so that everyone can benefit.

I believe they will allow, but that's just my opinion.
Because when I asked one of the staffs in Samsung shop which I'm very closed to, he said they didn't receive any instruction on this from Samsung. Their instruction is just accessories. Well, they and you have to define what comprises of accessories.

Just replaced at Sunway store. Took less than 5 min for the whole process, very few customers. Browsed through the list, think about 30% customers still haven't exchanged yet. Asked the guy, he said most likely on sales end of this month.

For the benefit of those who has yet to collect the phone, you can keep everything including the SPen at this outlet. I didn't remove the sim tray though, as I can't find any purpose of keeping it.
