not ota updates. ota provisioning (OTAP) which allows authorized (trusted) admin to change settings, parameters, etc remotely which user cant refuse.
*
nope. there's ways to disable OTA updates without root. already did mine so i don't expect the 60% to be applied on mine.

Banning Note 7 is not an enigma. It is logical. As well as banning watery item. It is based on facts.

the human body is 50-70% liquid. you should probably ban yourself at the airport next time LOL laugh.gif

I think it is not fair to ban note 7 permanently if Samsung manage to solve the issue.

All the phone batteries are prone to explosion, although the chance is low. Does that mean all phones should be banned?

lol. you do realize you are replying to trolling post right? laugh.gif

so who else not affected by the push OTA update? rclxms.gif

for those who got soft bricked, pity. but pretty sure you should have known the risk when tweaking parts of your phone. hint: you need to fully disable updates if you manually disable things tongue.gif

requesting moderator/staff regarding problem about Samsung Note 7 recall replacement posting in thread. the thread just becoming very toxic right now about accessories and whether should return or not and how to bypass it.

1. we should firstly inform the original thread starter to update the information about replacements from all official sources both telcos and non-telcos

2. all new discussions and questions regarding trying to minimize or reduce giving back all the accessories should be replied with a link to the updated thread starter page

3. any subsequent discussion and question post that is REPEATED multiple multiple times by same user regarding trying to hide or reduce giving back the accessories should just be reported for moderation or temporary ban.

adding Baronic, fruitie, mengsuan, Xirality (one of you guys/gals) and sengkin95 for notice of the problem right now in Samsung Note 7 thread. what you think?

just came back from replacement with Maxis KLCC. Very smooth replacement process and no hiccups.

New phone did the standard tests, all is good. Has the square sticker marking and battery icon green.

Before I exchanged my Note 7 last Thursday, I did a scratch test with my key, blade and screw driver and surprisingly, no scratch!

thinking of peeling off the coating...hmm.gif

man you all are having the wrong perception regarding mobile scratch proof. GG has been good against the general items that can scratch like keys and other items that the phone comes in contact with for years already so its pretty pointless to keep testing against those.

the real test you should be considering is against silica (sand/dust/beach) which in theory will always fail (unless GG able to solve this). and this is the most common thing that will one day somehow or rather get into contact with the mobile phone.

so unless GG solves this or mobile companies find a way to produce exceptionally cheap sapphire to place on the mobile phone, consider your mobile device to be eventually scratchable (just a matter of when)

Bro, any idea to get this Rm39 SP in Butterworth area. The gift-TG very poor quality / sensitivity. Currently it has deleminated on head and tail, no matter how i keep rubbing on. sad.gif

post a WTS thread in lowyat to buy a note 7 with ori SP on it for rm4.5k. agree to COD meet up at some where in butterworth. at the meet, take out your billy club and whack the person who want to sell the note 7. grab his note 7. peel the screen protector out carefully and stick it onto your note 7. return the now naked note 7 back to the person and leave the area all looking innocent. win thumbup.gif
