Totally unethical. Is that a Maxis branch, or a dealer?
*
They will send back to Samsung to refurbished/repacking then only resell again. People who buy it wont even know about it. Even the phone you holding, it might be refurbished/repacking sets. Nobody knows

Typical Malaysia mindset. Kiasu and greedy as fuck. Always try to take things for granted and ask for ridiculous compensation. You can find a lot of stupid comment in facebook after Samsung announce the recall. Really facepalm

Original news source from Korea TV.  Video clip inside.

http://www.huffingtonpost.kr/2016/09/23/st...n_12146262.html

Watch the clip. The clip (started from 1:00) indicated that the new Note 7 has battery drain issue eventhough it was charging. In other words, the battery could not be charged.
*
I think this battery drain and cannot be charge issue could be due to software bug causing the CPU to run 100% all the time.
I have similar case happened to me before on my Samsung Galaxy S3 and Note 2. For S3, even i plug in charger and cable overnight, the battery never go up more than 10%. (Using original adapter and cable that came in box). Went to SC and they told me that my software bug and advice me to reset my device. After reset, problem solved and never happen again until i switch no Note 2.
For Note 2, suddenly 1 day become very hot even not using it and screen is off. When pick up the phone battery drop to 20% from full charge. And again, took very very long time to recharge it to 100%. (Using ori charger and cable also)
So after recharge i quickly backup everything to PC and did a factory reset (experience before on S3). Problem solved after that.
And also i noticed that with SD card insert in, battery life is much shorter compare to without SD card. Also phone run a lot smoother. Same goes to my Note 7 now. btw im using Samsung EVO plus 128GB sd card that came with S7 edge preorder freebies. Battery life is better without SD card insert in, though did not notice any performance difference.

Not being a fan boy try to defend samsung but just sharing my experience towards this issue. I think people are just too exaggerated over the battery issue.

FYI my note 7 internal storage usage is less than 3gb not including system files since I've already suspected internal storage causing bootloop before i even started to use my phone.

so you're not exactly safe either.
*
bootloop could be the software issue although many claims that motherboard issue. N7 using Grace UI which is the first for samsung. So...... we all just be lab rat la biggrin.gif

Honestly i wont ask for refund unless Samsung really confirm that N7 new battery also got problem and call for global refund and cancel N7 project. And then that time could be the fall of Samsung.
N7 is really a nice phone, the design, the feature especially spen. No other flagship come close to this. The new ip7 is a joke. Just minor cosmetic changes like all the previous ip and run a little faster. Seriously who the fuck look at benchmark scores? Even daily use ip can load apps a few seconds faster (max i think 3 secs different?), N7 has much more feature and can do a lot more things. Productivity, entertainment, N7 win hands down.

Lets hope for the best to Samsung and continue rule the smartphone market! N7 2016 king of smartphone. Period.

Note 8 definitely have to come out stronger than any note ever made. Samsung have to bounce back and reclaim customers confident, that is the way to do it, more stringent QC and testing. If they don't learn from this fiasco,  dont know what to say...
*
Don't worry. Samsung always learn from mistake and listen to their customers. Like S6 and N5 which doesn't have SD card slot and a small battery. This year, S7, S7e and N7 they bring back SD card though no removable battery. But i prefer a phone with a battery sealed in. No risk for people to swap cheap aftermarket battery when you purchase the phone.

Please la people. Cut Samsung some slack la. They already very generous enough to do a global recall and exchange every N7 unconditionally. You people lagi want to keep this keep that. This is why i describe these people retards in my previous post. Seriously there are no other words could describe this kind of cheapskate. Take a look in Samsung Mobile Malaysia facebook post. dry.gif dry.gif

Its just consumer instinct bro... nothing more... if being a cheapskate can save me hundreds in accessories then u can call me that... why being generous when you can save? It is allowed in some way... legit to keep... so why return?
*
Because it is not mention in the Samsung recall notice. In fact, different SC or customer service give different answer when people ask can keep accessory or not.

SME cannot reject the replacement even if you bring in just the phone without s-pen.

Try and get whatever you want if you got the gut to ask for it. Or you can be chicken and listen and follow to dumb instructions people told you to do.
*
We are not directly returning to SME. We are returning to the dealer. They have the right to reject for replacement as they follow SME replacement requirement when they first announced the recall. There is black and white.

really don't understand all the SME -defenders here, let everyone have their choice. Everyone wants to take the fullest advantage of everything, you think all the big companies, Samsung, Apple are selling their products at cost? they are also making handsome profits off each device, they are also taking advantage of people, it's capitalism and human nature.
QUOTE(phonearena (USA exchange program))
http://www.phonearena.com/news/Samsung-Gal...-a-mess_id85543
... in order to exchange a Samsung Galaxy Note 7 purchased before September 15, you don't need the box or the accessories that you've received with the phone. It's perfectly fine to bring just the device and you should be qualified for a free replacement or a loaner until your new Galaxy Note 7 arrives in stock. ...

Only SME dictates all in box accessories has to be returned, so why the double standards SME-defenders? Are you waiting to collect the returned accessories to scalp? otherwise, just STFU

Just because you see other country have better benefit than us in Malaysia, then all also request want follow. Is like you saw your friend have that toy, then you also go back cry and whine to your mom to buy you that toy. Such mindset. This is happening now in Malaysia. Typical Malaysian.
