Anyone experiencing the iris scanner prompted "the device is being held too near" and switch off the scanner due to the tempered glass interruption? When I pressed down the edges of the tempered glass, the error is gone but it'll come back again when the edges adhesive is slightly lifting up again.

Curved screens like Note 7 or S7 Edge not really recommended to use tempered glass actually
Better to use normal TPU screen protectors

Well, it's a free gift from SME, and it's already installed once the phone is replaced. I am wondering if any other user of N7 with the tempered glass experienced the same thing.

from what i read, those who had applied this glass SP had it removed within 5 minutes.

you're probably the only one i know who's still using that free glass SP.

anyway, i don't have that glass SP with me. does it cover the sensors? i thought there's a cut out so the sensors are not blocked? but to be honest, i can't remember much a out this glass SP coz din bother with it. just took one look at it and put it back in box...

in case anyone wants, i'm more than happy to give it away FOC.

I am just asking those who has used or still using face the same issue or not?

There is an opening for all those sensors. The glass SP is not designed to be totally intact with the screen but only on the edges, thus, there is a gap between the SP and the screen itself.

reason i'm asking if it covers all is coz if it doesn't cover the sensor, then you should be facing some other issues and unlikely the glass SP is the cause...

update 1:
re-read your post... ya, it could be the edges are of the TG is detected by the iris scanner and so you get that error. i guess you could try using bit of glue/ tape to tape the glass to screen... smile.gif

There seems to be one that is fitting best and it's TG.
