Max2006, do you have any news to share on users in other countries with the new replacement phones having 'bootloop' issues?
Nope, so far so good. there's no significant news/reports to show that users are having booloop issues on the replacement units. However, previously there's a forumer reporting that Samsung Singapore facebook page got complaints regarding Singapore owner had bootloop issue on the replacement phone. I went there and checked. Yes, there's complaints. However, the amount is very small though. Could be isolated cases.

IMO, it's still too early to say, since the replacement day (in some other countries) only started couple days ago. Only times can tell whether the replacement units are completely problem free.

Since you are a potential user, do you want to buy my replacement unit? Might give up with the Note7 already. 🤔🤔🤔

Sorry bro. As I said previously, I am waiting for the blue coral version. Not sure if SME will bring in the new color or not after the fisco. But I am still considering to get one (depends how the situation goes on after few months). Thanks for you offer though. smile.gif

Btw, mind to tell us why you are giving up your note 7?

Latest update regarding the explosion cases in China.

http://www.setn.com/News.aspx?NewsID=183326

According to Korea daily newspaper (朝鮮日報), they claimed that those 2 explosion cases in China are fake. Those 2 "victims" were trying to blackmail Samsung, by making the phones exploded intentionally. The newspaper also said Samsung will sue those 2 China users very soon.

Many netizens have different opinions regarding this case. But mostly believe that none of both sides could be trusted. Some people said the China users might be lying about the incident and they are trying to take advantages from that. At the same time, some people also doubt about Korea daily News' credibility since they had bad records in the past (reporting fake news, etc). A few netizens also pointed out that it wouldn't be fair to let Samsung to investigate the case by their own internal parties. They should let third party to do the investigation to verify the root cause.

This info is still a rumor at this stage, please take this with a grain of salt.

According to some internal source, it's expected that 6GB Ram version Note 7 will be releasing in China before the end of october.

The owner from the 2nd explosion case in China. Today interview, she told the interviewer that the damaged phone is still on her hands. The owner claimed that samsung did send representatives to her house and persuaded her to give the phone to them for investigation. She rejected and she requested third party to join the investigation together. The owner also denied that news report from the Korea Daily News regarding the blackmail. She said she still hold on the phone and Samsung still have not analyzing the damaged phone yet. Why did Korea media claimed that they already found the root cause and accused her for blackmailing them?

Guess price would be same, add some freebies...
Heard US expected launch around end of October..., so ours could be around that time too...
*
http://www.androidauthority.com/galaxy-not...elaunch-717156/

US is such a big market for Samsung phones, but they will only relaunch on 21/10, approximately one month after they relaunch in Korea on 28/9.

So ya. I guess we can safely assume that SME may launching at the end of October or the early of November..... Well, I guess it's a good thing to see them taking it slow and steady rather than rushing the product line to meet the market...

Bro, may I ask why there's 2 different battery charging readings on your notification? Battery status is indicating "Time to full: 00:42", while the cable charging indicated "Approximately 59 min until fully charge". rclxub.gif

Do u all think this current issue with note 7 will settle after this. Thinking to get one for my hub but since theres a lot prob with note 7 have to postpone. My hubby really love the s pen. Is there any other suggestion beside note 7
*
If you hesitate to take Note 7, but your husband really like the S pen function, then the only choice left is the Note 5.

i opt for refund. i'm a frequent traveler. really not convenient for taking this phone abroad. so many security checks and etc. SME allowed consumer to refund after so many complaints and considering Samsung from other countries also have the option to refund. in order for the refund. you need to surrender your whole set including the free gifts to the service center. get the reference number and call to SME hotline. they will record and pass the case to their refund department. within 24 hours the refund department personnel will contact me and follow up on how to refund back the $ to me lor.. after that was being told $ will be refund to me fastest is 2 weeks. maximum within 1 month  sweat.gif  btw, i don't have any contract with Yes

better than no option for refund la..  whistling.gif
*
I see. Ya. No matter how you love it, it will be a trouble for frequent travellers. God knows when the flight companies will pull off the banning regulation... sweat.gif

that also, itself... can be a problem. which factory is doing the battery? it looks like it might not be Samsung factory. so... could it be some 3rd party factory... is the quality going to be better? or at least the same? if worse... then it's going to be nightmare for both samsung and owners.
IINM, Samsung did claimed that the battery supplier of all the newer batches will be ALT.

long term, it's also not good for airlines since... it's difficult as it is to ask ppl to show their phones to check. and if asking ppl to declare... also another issue la.
*
It's also difficult to differentiate. Not everyone will bring the new box with the new sticker on board. Not to mention that the new green battery indicator, which I think is not good enough. Samsung should do something with the phone appearance instead of the software. Such as putting a new logo on the new phone or something. That would be much easier to be recognized.
