Good morning.

Anyone here is get their Note 7 from Maxis? They have postponed the date from 29/9 to 30/9.

I am still waiting their reply to let me have my replacement set by today.

Called Samsung Care Line but they can't help much, still asked me to contact Maxis.

so may have 2nd recall ...and Note 7 owner may have new phone every month? haha

But personally I don't think Samsung will make this stupid mistake again & again. Also the size of Note 7 vs S7 Edge is not much and even have a smaller battery, both are IP68, Fast Charges 2.0, same CPU, camera ...so if S7 Edge no problem why Note 7 have?

I like the tempered glass feeling, but the sensitivity of the screen is a big turn off. Going to clear coat soon
*
Poor quality, not sensitive and water can go into between screen and SP

N7 standby time not so good i would say. Went to bed at 12am at around 55%. Woke up 7am battery left 48%. Wifi on 5Ghz. My previous S7e drop only 2 to 3% overnight

My Note 7 battery life is good and usually can last for a day (working hours) with FHD display, non stop IM and FB etc

there are reasons to cause battery to overheat... design and/or manufacturing issues can cause the battery to get easily heated up.

in the past, its been said that battery capacity was too big to be physically crammed into the "small" slot in the phone body. this might give pressure to the battery. plus, in a crowded train, it is easier to get hot. so, no different with the phone. if everything crammed tightly together, then well...

of course i'm going to get "flamed" for the above...
*
S7 Edge battery capacity is even bigger and I believe Samsung R&D impossible make this mistake, especially after the 1st case

haha don't say till like that, later all the boom boom ppl will call you fanboy, butthurt etc. smile.gif

seriously tho, if all these events caused samsung to give up on the note line, it  will make for a poorer android ecosystem.

for me i will continue to use the n7 la..until confirmed have to return. my own reading of the cases so far, i think still relatively safe for me to use. sometimes life is about probabilities. of course, everyone should make their own decisions based on their circumstances.

Me too but just pray for those carriers not banned it

when did it ever happen that android based smartphone has any good resell value apart from iphone?

even after 1 month of usage, most of android drop value by 100 - 200 already

too many brands too many models and etc
*
iPhone good used set price not as good as before already because they dropped RM1000 immediately after new model announced

Some Note 7 reviews did show that there's not much difference between QHD & FHD in term of battery drain. IINM, it's like 5-6% difference only.
*
I have been reduce mine to FHD and personally didn't feel any difference, but do help a lot on battery life

force to put in luggage since can't used onboard and must switch off laugh.gif

Impossible.

I am just flying by few airlines without any problem. They do announce not allow to use & charges Samsung Note 7 which purchased before 15th September, 2016. They even never check the phone.

Asked to put in luggage ? is it his hand carry luggage? LOL
