According to China news, this is the 6th explosion in China.

However, this time is a bit different. It's a demo unit. And it was happening inside the show room at a mall. And the most important....it got video.

The previous cases might be accusations. But this one....I think it's kind of hard to debunk. It happened in the public, in front of many people. There's no way to deny this anymore. Samsung better admit it and start figuring out why Samsung China version also exploding.

Samsung stock earphone is very lousy anyway. It's not worthy even if you keep it as spare. Even cheap cheap Xiaomi Piston is better than their stock earphone (my personal experience). smile.gif

kindly read the T&C met out by SME here : http://www.samsung.com/my/note7exchange/

read that and make your decision on how to proceed. I would not want to be branded as a s***i, idiot etc by /k keyboard saints. I'm really astonished how almighty these saints are when in actual fact it is never their f business anyway. So I shall not advocate for any side.
*
Calm down bro. I know how you feel since I was also branded due to my news sharing in here. It's internet anyway. Don't let their comments to affect your mood. Today is the day. Now you have no time to bother with their comments. Just be steady and prepared for the replacement later. You will have a lot to do (checking, testing, observing). Get rest ya. nod.gif

Btw, good luck to you all for the replacement later. Hopefully everything go smooth for everyone. thumbup.gif

So you finally going to buy note 7?????..

????

Not yet. Still considering. Need to wait for couple of months and see how the whole thing goes. Plus I only want blue coral version, which I don't know if SME still want to bring in that color or not after all the chaos.

No other apps draining or running. But i do realise the "Google Play Services" and "Android System" take up a lot battery usage which i don't even know what they do or how i can stop them from running and draining battery.
*
You won't be able to stop those 2 because they will always be running in the background consistently.

Anyway, did you run 3G/4G data on the phone while you sleep overnight? Because based on my own usage in any smartphones, Android System and Google Play Services would only come at the top of the battery chart ranking if you use data.

Let's hear what the owner Brian Green said in the interview.

Brian Green talked to WAVE 3 News about what happened on board a Southwest Airlines flight when his Samsung Galaxy Note 7 caught fire.

Copy pasta for the win.

I wonder where had you gone since you stopped posting in Note 7 thread ever since at 29th Sept; maybe there was no negative news for you to copy pasta. But just as I expected, you cannot stop yourself from posting negative news in this thread the moment you hear Note 7 exploded. Truly a poster that only know how to feed on negativity....................
Wow. Know exactly when I stopped, and show up and cheer for me when I post. I have a fan following me. hahaha. rclxms.gif

Oh boy there is setting option let u to town down to FHD.
For me I do c difference in QHD & FHD.
*
Some Note 7 reviews did show that there's not much difference between QHD & FHD in term of battery drain. IINM, it's like 5-6% difference only.

I have been reduce mine to FHD and personally didn't feel any difference, but do help a lot on battery life
*
I do lower the screen resolution to FHD on certain apps, using the game tuner for my Note 5. Not too sure if it helps on battery life. But I do notice some apps' FPS are smoother in FHD compared to QHD, for example, the youtube list scrolling. I guess some apps are not optimized for QHD yet. I wonder is the same thing happen in Note 7 as well?

Yes, agreed. Safety always comes first. And such discussions are always welcomed. Though we do understand that many Note 7 owners here are worried about negative posts because it may affect their resale value (in case they want to sell it suddenly).
*
The news is spreaded all around the world. Even if you don't follow the news in here, you will still be acknowledeged about it eventually. And as for the resale value, no need to debate about it. It sure will be affected since the name has been damaged. Hence some rumors saying that Samsung will be releasing S8 sooner than we expected because they want to regain the confidence from the consumers.

Yes, indeed. If put into luggage and the Note 7 spontaneously explodes (even while turned off), it could be disastrous to the flight and the lives of passengers and crew on board.

If the Note 7 is being held by a passenger in the flight cabin, at least if there is a fire from the explosion, it can be extinguished or something.
*
It should not be put into the luggage in the first place. Most of the airlines already stated that owners have to switch off the phone and keep the phone by side when aboard, so that the staff can take immediate action if anything happened to the phone on the spot. Not sure why Air Asia ordered the passengers to put the phone into the luggage.

I guess the ban is still not yet pulled off. If they want to lift the ban, they will release the news and inform the medias. But so far, none.

okay. I guess the airline needed more time.

and now someone just posted news about new Note 7 started to emit smoke in flight.

the ban would still be enforced for sure sad.gif
*
Ya. I think they could have planned to lift the ban very soon. But after the morning news, plan changed. Especially FAA. They just lifted the ban not long ago. Not sure if this will trigger their banning order once again. doh.gif

Ya, deep investigate shall be done include current Note7 design. This is security concern, cannot be simply cover up.
*
According to the latest progress, it seems that Note 7 is in the hands of America authority. Samsung released announcement saying that so far they cannot confirm whether the whole incident was related to Note 7 or not since they have not received the damaged phone yet. The news is already out. The plane stopped. All passengers evacuated. Pics, videos, the box, the imei number showed in the Verge article (people checked the imei number in Samsung imei site and confirmed it's replacement unit), all those proves that the phone is indeed a replacement Note 7. Not sure why Samsung still deny the fact that it was the Note 7 that made the whole crews and passengers to evacuate the plane.

I am not biased on any side in this case. But I do think that Samsung's announcement is some what ambiguous. Why not they just admit it and investigate it asap? hmm.gif
