Just wait and see what is the investigation report. Nowadays alot case turn out to be cause by external source. I think samsung will quickly investigate on this one as with the last few day case in youtube.

I very curious regarding how his note 7 can get overheating after power off? I thought the issue for the note 7 caught fire is battery overheating, isn't it?

there are reasons to cause battery to overheat... design and/or manufacturing issues can cause the battery to get easily heated up.

in the past, its been said that battery capacity was too big to be physically crammed into the "small" slot in the phone body. this might give pressure to the battery. plus, in a crowded train, it is easier to get hot. so, no different with the phone. if everything crammed tightly together, then well...

of course i'm going to get "flamed" for the above...

S7 Edge battery capacity is even bigger and I believe Samsung R&D impossible make this mistake, especially after the 1st case

Is your set really from HK? If yes, then it should not have the firmware which limits battery level.

Did you have to return all the pre-order freebies upon your refund?

I think people have lost confidence in this phone.
Most people have shifted to other brands as reported to other tech sites.
